Yes, we have no pennies,(we do have bananas tho) in fact we don't miss them at all, our purses and pockets are lighter, only ones (loonies) and twos (toonies) left to weigh us down, you may in fact call us a 'penniless nation'
Here you will find all the others, some of them right up to the quarter
Read across the bottom to see what and when, we are the new kids on the block, some eliminated coins as early as the 1980's!
Countries that Eliminated Lowest Denominations Like the Penny | Copper Pennies
As for the mitt just plain stupid for a myriad of reasons, but someone will make $$ or ,(if better minds prevail ).. not!

Happy New Year !!!!
Good Morning Mutey's
I have been up early reading all of these posts, and I am happy to find out that round is a shape, that means I qualify. It is also good to know that y'all know how to do greens !!! I hope Steve you have the menu all planned for the Curiosity.
Herb, I hope your carpet drys out but at least your fridge is still fridging and you didnt have to replace any of the magic that goes on behind it.
Our next door neighbors made it home from Michigan all safe and sound, and then we got back to the MH just in time for the celebrations at midnight, we had some bubbley and quiche, and then that evolved into wine and then it ended up with whiskey, I still havent quite figured that out.
I awoke to a grand and glorious morning as we have tuned in the Rose Bowl Parade, and, and, and we are going to watch Michigan State take on Stanford today for the Rose Bowl. Now the odds makers are betting against the Spartans, but I for one am hopeful that the Michigan State Spartans come out victorious.
And now seeing that it is after 12 noon in Michigan, I can begin drinking irresponsibly.
Cheers !!!

Just a Public Service Announcement for the GC@CL. I got an email from Catherine's Landing this morning announcing the spring packages and this new local attraction...
