I've been diabetic for over 20 yrs but have been able to control it. My A1C has been creeping up and now this is the solution.

Our share of the cost for the insulin was over $100.00 and that's for one month. It seems like Stephanie and I are getting to the point that the drug makers are interested how we are doing so
we can help support them.
Bob,

Sena is diabetic and takes 2 shots each day very willingly. The needles are so tiny and it only needs to go under the skin. I give myself monthly B-12 injections. The love handles or the chub just above the belt are the best places to inject. There is very little feeling there. So suck it up and get it over with.

Insurance won't pay for Sena's insulin. I buy the Reli-on N insulin at Wal-Mart all over the country for $24.88/1000 unit vial. I know those pen type insulin injectors are easier, but a lot more costly. I get her syringes online (no Rx needed) for less than $11/100.

Dang Steve! Are you still playing sick so you can stay home from school and watch TV all day? Your folks will catch on soon and then there's gonna be a LOT of grounding for you. Just remember I told you so!

I tend to ponder that as well. Steve reminds me of me when I was younger (last week) was real sick so I wouldn't miss the football playoffs.

I am lurking and really sick Judy. :-(
When I talked to Dave this evening I told him I can read - but it is hard to post. I do appreciate the thoughtful mutant musings. We will see what the doctor says Monday - and then a little later on when I see the pulmonary specialist.

Please ponder away and don't worry about me. I will be ok soon enough and hogging attention again the old fashioned way; one ponder after another.

All righty then here is what happened on our trip to Illinois. It was cold. It was colder than it had been in decades. And the TPMS on our truck said we had a low tire, which we of course looked at to see if we had a flat tire. Nope, all the tires looked round. So we kept going, checking now then to be sure the tires are all round. Got to motel in second half of journey, found ourselves stuck there for 36 hours as the worst storm in 25 years took aim on the area.
Finally all tires still round, we decide to come home where the weather is more reasonable. Over snow-packed and slick roads, bumpy like it is pot-holed only it is snow. Rough going in 4X4, for a hundred miles. Then we start getting vibration from front wheel. Thinking it is messed up new parts the dealer put in right before we left on trip, we get out to look. And there it is a hole in the tire. Not all the way through, so it isn't flat, but looks like trouble. 9 miles from nearest town. We limped on and got the truck tire place to put our spare on as they didn't have any tires to fit.
The moral of this story is trust your TPMS. We could have been seriously hurt if the tire had blown when we were in the thick traffic through St.Louis. or between those big rigs. Should have had the tires checked when first alerted, but we just thought it was the cold causing it to mess up.

Hey Judy !!!

Also remember sometimes those warnings go off if you have low pressure even if its still round.

Cheers !!!
