I know nothing about such things, but if you like it and it checks out then it must be for you. Good Luck

Hey Barb !!

Yes we did awaken it and when it realised he didn't stand a chance against 5 humans he jumped from his resting spot and ran off. I will post the best photo as soon as I can get it from the camera to my posting device.

Cheers !!!

Hey Mike !!!

Country Coach made a great coach, but its an orphan just like our Beaver. 112,000 miles is nothing for a diesel. Hopefully you have all of the manuals you will want them, maintenance records also if they have those. I would like a bigger engine but there isn't anything wrong with a 330 IMHO . What about length ? One thing though you will want to check the age of the tires, last fluid changes and that means all of them and filters as well.

Cheers !!!!

Oh darn! Oh Darn, the women have won - again. (You to papawto5, Steve) As you know, Earlene reads the forum and especially this thread since she thinks I'm going to post about her. Hee hee! I do!

So! She walks in after some discussion on the size of the name on the name tag, holds one up and says, "What does this say? Who is it?" I mumble something, she smiles, I say, "Let me get my glasses," and then at the same distance (because she keeps backing up as i try to get closer) I start off with my name and see that smile. I immediately squint and read, very slowly as I adjust my vision (progressive lenses) and I am able to read the name.

So in conclusion, this is the new name tag. Hope ya'll enjoy it !!!!!!

p.s., If you need to know anything else besides the name and user ID, please get up close and personal. No toucha da name tag.

I have an 8 x 10 poster board with Dianne's name on one side, and other details on the other side. She can keep flipping it over and over and over and over.

Maybe I'll get one of those street advertisement signs you see pacing the sidewalk for her.

BIG MOUTH - just kidding Dianne.

Hey guys - congratulations on selling the trawler and starting the hunt. Its hard for me to make any specific comments as I couldn't afford a CC in 1998 and didn't shop them when were were in the market. I did do a search to see what's out there and have some general questions and a comment or two.

Is this 40' and 1 slide with the 5 KW generator? I have some idea of the space you're leaving. Lots of folks hate slide outs - but so far I'm sold on them. The space they give is priceless to us. Not sure we could do with just 1...

Be sure to look into the energy management and what the generator will run at once. If your find yourself in hot weather and it won't run both ACs and the microwave at the same time, you'll get used to turning one off to cook - but it can get old. Also the hours and maintenance on the Generator is important. Nothing is cheap (as you know) on these things including labor - or a new generator. Also - invertor / convertor?? Watts?

Even knowing all that you know about systems and such - it's a good idea to have an independent inspection - gas - water - electric etc. Same for mechanical - have it shop tested. There is no doubt CC is a great coach but it is going on 16 years old.

While I haven't done it - Dogpatch has upgraded televisions and sound systems a couple of times and that's not expensive - but you will probably want to do it if it hasn't been done. Satellite? We sometimes think we don't want or need things like that only to find it would be nice to have. Not very mutant of me - but study your list of needs and wants and won't miss. The time to figure that out is before ya buy.

Like Jeff said - the 112k miles isn't a big concern - but the records and a shop report will be worth the review and $$. Also - look for rust and any visible signs of neglect may suggest it where ya can't see it.

The only other thing I noticed - and this was a quick Internet romp - among the ones for sale - there is a fair range on asking price. I didn't quantify the differences?? Hone in on that. What makes one "worth" asking more than another? See NADA if you haven't already.

Again - comgrats on the sale of the trawler and starting the hunt. So are you living in a van down by the river these days? Is that putting you in a rush to find something?

Again - Good Luck! Hopefully others have some thoughts and actual experience with the '98 CC.
Steve and Annie
