Congrats Mike and Harriett! Soon you won't need sea legs. How ever will you get to sleep without the trawler's rocking?

You might want to chat with some Country Coach owners for opinions about the rig you're considering. I found this

Country Coach Friends Incorporated

So, does this mean you'll be attending the GC@CL?

Name tags

Wayne, the new name tags look great! If you haven't printed them yet maybe we can PM you our updated info? I'm going to update my IRV2 profile as I get Sena a snack. Promise.

Yoh Steve

Steve (RVM2), just noticed your service record. My nephew retired from the Corps in 2002 after 30 1/2 years. Made it to Sgt. Major. He had numerous very interesting assignments. We'll have to talk at CG@CL.

The redesigned name tags look spiffy and I should be able to read the tags hanging on the chests of others without getting slapped too often.

We're experiencing our 3rd day of rain here in the Sarasota area. It's 60* though so we're not complaining too much. Forecast (which changes hourly it seems) is for high 70's / low 80's for several days after this front rolls thru. Sure beats the weather back home in Indiana.

Keep us up to date on your health. Glad to hear that your health is headed in the right direction.

Spoke to Phil a moment ago. He had just left the tavern and was pretty talkative. He seemed in good spirits and optimistic about Sunday.

Nothing witty to say, so I might as well go back to sleep! It's pleasant to come back after a couple days sabbatical and have good reading material here, though.

Wayne, I like the new and improved name tags. DH had said the first thing you need to see on a name tag is the name, and size does matter. (Will I get chastised for that?)

Cheers,
Sue

Ok guys my DW said something to me that at first sounded pretty typical, but after pondering on it a while got me to wondering!

Her comments were " I've got to go shopping for clothes to wear to the Curosity". Sounds like a normal statement from her, you know, any excuse to shop, right!

Now my ponder, this Curosity is being held in our back yard, well not far from it, so what do you need for a Curosity?

Guys, are you going shopping for the Curosity or are you coming like me wearing the same old Tuxedo that I've worn to all my big events thus far?

Just a mutant ponder!

When we first went under the branches of the tree and it was sleeping we didn't notice it right away because its fur was exactly the same color as the bark of the tree. Upon closer inspection though we soon found that what we were seeing was fur and not some strange anomaly of the tree. As we were watching it we soon saw one eye pop open and the he raised his head. I think the bobcat was as surprised as we were.

Cheers !!!

What a trip!

We were in Quartzite for a week during the big RV show, but on our second day there I did something horrible to my back and couldn't hardly walk more than 2 or 3 minutes at a time. Didn't get to tour many motorhomes but still managed to have a good time.

Then we went to Laughlin and did the casino thing for several days. Mrs. Muddypaws is the queen of bingo and won enough to finance our stay in the RV park at the Avi Casino, and a bunch of other fun too. My advice is to pass on the dinner buffet no matter what the price is. The best meal we had in the area was at a Black Bear Diner.

On the trip out and back we spent the night in Boron and went to Domingo's. The place is famous for being the first stop for shuttle crews when they land at Edwards AFB. Pretty good Mexican food.

The low point was that when we returned from dinner there were fire trucks and an ambulance in front of our space. After the initial panic over our Golden Retrievers and the always present danger of fire in a coach we saw that the EMT's were in the fifth wheel next door. They were working on Gil, who we never met. He did not make it despite over an hour of everything they could do. Gil's poodle was in a panic and in danger of getting run over so I coaxed (carried) him into our rig and tried to calm him down. I made sure the EMT's knew where the dog was and waited for Gil's wife Marilyn to come get him. When they removed the body they brought her over and we talked for about 20 minutes and made sure she was going to be able to get home. She was doing about as well as could be expected of someone faced with the unexpected death of a spouse. What a horrible thing for her. Her daughter and son-in-law must have come in the middle of the night because when we got up at 6:30 the space was empty.

There's a lesson to be learned. Ladies? Can you drive the rig? Could you make it home alone? Do you know how to do everything required to get on the road? Do you know the new CPR?

My DW is working on it. She is still afraid to drive but has no trouble at all telling me how. That's going to change.

He had better be... Poor honey is sitting out there under her tarp again freezing her spare tire cover off covered in ice!
....Shivvers..... muttering to self about being grateful for moisture for gardens, ponds, and lakes....

Tim - I'm going to have to buy a trailer to tow all the stuff Annie is squirreling away for the GC. She just got a 30 cup coffee pot. I'm not sure what else as things have come in and gone straight into hiding.

Bonita will be getting new tires for the GC but that won't be for a moth or so. I ordered the TST 507 system for her yesterday. That should be in any day now.

As for me. I'm sticking with my usual campground attire. Layering a flannel shirt and T-shirt, a pair of kakis, an ascot and a assortment of loafers of course....

A short ponder for me...the only thing I would think of is...MORE SHORTS! (Got plenty of t-shirts.)
