Wish I were sleeping in!
Back to the W word....
It has it's advantages - but sleeping in isn't one of them. Lol.

Thanks Marty! I am finding it easier to bear weight on my new bionic knees every time I get up. The Home Health nurse is due out sometime today to draw blood. But if she doesn't have 4 wheel drive she may not make it back out. Yesterday's snow has become today's ice and the driveway here is long and steep.

I've not yet opened the overhead door that keeps us so cosy at night. It's always a surprise when I push the opener button. Sena and Lily will usually sit in the window facing the door so they can get the first glimpse of what outside is like. Lily is probably looking for Canadian geese that like to graze on the lawn out by the river.

Sena continues to be afraid of me, but not as much as she was when I first got home. I'm just not the Momma that left here on Wed morning. Generous food rewards will help speed that process along, but it hurts my heart to watch her go thru the process. Words don't work when communicating with monkeys. They read body language, and mine has changed.

Wish I had slept in too.

Went and got propane for the RV tank. The price is up to $3.99 here.
Ga. is looking for another ice event.

I remember Va. too well with ice storms in the Williamsbrg and Richmond areas.
The Governor has already issues a State of Emergency here and it is 50*!
He did not like the criticism from last week over Atlanta.

We hope everyone stays warm and healthy.

There is a picture of me alone and I don't know why Earlene was telling me, "Back up some more, little more, little more!" I'm glad I'm hard of hearing and never pay attention to her anyhow!!

Barb....Sena goes a lot by smell too...so soon the hospital smell will be off you and she'll realize you are that same old mama.

Two Different Days

Les will love this... I moved the motorhome into the driveway in order to provision it for a planned weekend. Mother nature plays cruel jokes doesn't she. Pictures are date stamped so the second and fourth pictures (Rolex the watch dog on duty and the green grass are one day) and the first and third are today.

It's snowing here today as well.

Just about ready to go out and shovel the big driveway.

In true Islander fashion, I will not shovel! I will just wait until it melts. Should be all gone by about five O'clock.

I hope you and Sena get settled into the old way. But somehow I suspect part of her mistrust may be that she thinks you betrayed her by leaving, and she is expecting you to repeat that. So she is letting you know that she is harboring a bit of resentment. After all you left her alone for days on end. Most dogs don't care, they are just overjoyed for the return of their loved ones.
We used to have a cat who would not look at me for days, after we returned from vacation. She was mad at being left. But the dog was just happy to be loved again. Funny how they react differently. So Sena may just be letting you know she did NOT approve of you going away. And this is her way of getting back at you. After all she can't yell at you and tell you off.
Hope you are able to relax a bit for healing time..
