You could well be right, I'm sure there are many variations. We heard it the first time when we went to a neighborhood restaurant right after we moved to NC. The greeter sat us down, handed us menus and said "All y'alls enjoy y'alls dinner". I've never forgotten that one.

Here's a thought, if enough of us were to use the word "ya'all or y'all or y'all's" enough, is there a chance we can get it included in Webster's dictionary ?
Of course, if it were to become an official word, we would have to mutate and come up with something else.
Don't mind my weird mood, it's hot and I dread running the generator so my swamp cooler will keep the house cool.

And... Would y'alls like sweet tea or regular tea with y'alls dinner (supper)? It's a southern' thang.

I believe I will have to ponder this issue of plural y'all's until in good time, I can figure it out after later. After later is my contribution to the RVM lexicon.

Ponder is good. After later so noted.

The hour was late and generators were shut down. The mutants sat talking by the fire until well after later.

Mutants apparently enjoy southern talk, but there are many mutant dialects. I'm sure Les can share some Canadian expressions. But I believe he is from the southern area as well. Could be wrong about that - and other things....

Hmm, if we're getting into dialects, I respectfully submit the all Canadian all purpose "eh?" to be appended to just about everything, eh? As in, wow, look at that rig, eh? We don't notice we're saying it, it's just like air, eh? Always there.

Oversight - on my part as to your rutz and expertise in the northern dialect.

Catch any fish, eh?
