Hi Herb,

Each day is better than the day before, but today I overdid it and I'm paying for it now. I thought I'd post weekly updates. The next will be Wed after staple removal.

The problem is that... "if you can't make it wet, you can't taste it." That's why I can drink Ensure with water flavoring.

Keep on keepin on Mike! Some Doctors give an approximate for things to heal or change. Depending on the severity of your operation, health condition, age and healing capability, these are all factors on when things get better.

Believe it or not, having a positive outlook and trying to live your life the best you can even in the face of adversity, helps make it a better! Less stressing will also help healing!

Just thought I'd put this out there for PTJeep and the other Jeep fans. It was parked in front of one of the fast food places this afternoon.

I don't know whose it is, but'll do better in the dirt than my '04 Wrangler.

(Only an honorary RVM but I do keep up with this thread.)

I too send our OMs to all who are still healing.

With that Jeep I'd have to equip it with step ladder so DW could get in!

Inyo you know we have to keep our application process and qualifications high to keep the rif-raf out but full fledge membership is a possibility!

My dentist recommended Aloe Vera gel for my dry mouth. You can find it in the pharmacy area of the big box stores. To know that the gel is suitable for consumption, read the label and look to see things about calories, etc. My dentist said that the gel also had medicinal properties for the digestive tract.

I have not tried it yet, but I'm going to.

Hey Mutants - on October 6th 2013 Inyo Driver became an honorary RVM. They have sold their rig and settled down. His love of RVing and trains (a tour guide, and rider) brought him into our choo choo ponders back then.

As I recall, we mutants have a standing invitation to visit him and the "Inyo" if in the area. Carson City is on my list of future stops.
----------
Inyo Driver - thanks for stopping back in. Always good to hear from you!

Could you limit yourself to the U.S. states, Barb can't go to B.C.

Now that there is a good question.
---------
Saw your question / thread about installing a Surge Guard. There may be spirited discussion about Surge Guard vs Progressive Industries. There will be no debate to get one or the other. And - get the whole enchilada - low/high voltage, open ground / neutral etc. Not just the stand alone surge protector. My preference is Progressive Industries. Get what makes ya happy.

Had a lightning strike 4-5 years ago here at the house. Had an inline MOV at the breaker box but it couldn't handle the surge. Took out 2 televisions and a PC. Being an electrical engineer in a former life I understood the importance of protecting sensitive electronics and no way will I hookup my nice new TT without one of these.

Sounds like a plan! I have not experienced a lightening strike but have read that not likely anything will keep a direct strike from finding its way inside. But surges are only part of the equation and probably the least likely. The low voltage - loose and faulty wiring at the post are all more likely and equally as unwanted. Sounds like you're headed in the right direction.

Not to turn this into a technical conversation, but one problem with the lightning was not the hot or neutral but the ground! Seems to me that a spike came through the unprotected ground wires, but I couldn't verify this.
