Google is your friend. I've bought almost everything for my RV online. I have yet to buy the rope lights, but I will pretty soon.

My friends in Arizona gave me he advice about the rope lights. I believe bright white is the best.

I am much obliged for your help.
We've bought them at Wally World at at Big Lots. Try to get the LED type, they are brighter and use less power. You'd need close to 100 feet to lay a perimeter around both vehicles. Haven't heard any comments about what color works best, we used white last winter in New Mexico and had no rodent intrusion incidents.

We started being mutants 1998. We decided to sell everything and camp for a few months. We sold house and all possessions, bought a 1990 Aerostar van. Gutted behind the front seats, built a platform with compartments, carpeted it and put it air mattress. Traveled all over the US for 4 months.

My wife said she wished we could have a self contained RV so we could cook and have a fridge. I wouldn't hear of it, didn't want to be one of this "RV" people. I wanted to sleep in the Aero star, and cook on a single burner. We also used a ice chest.

Look at us now.

OK Y'all, I have to confess. I just remembered we DO have rope lights. They are in the plastic bin where I keep the lawn art. I had forgotten about them, they are Red, White, and Blue. Oh dear, such an oversight, I guess we are truly closet ropey types. Welcome RVM 37.

Thought I would share my favorite cocktail recipe with my fellow mutants. It's the recipe used by PF Changs - the Twisted Whisky Sour

Twisted Whisky Sour
(1.25) oz Woodford Reserve Bourbon,
(0.75) oz Cointreau,
(0.25) oz Honey Water,
(1.5) oz Orange Juice,
(0.75) oz Lemon Juice,
[Dash] Bitters,
[Dash] Orange Bitters

Shaker with ice - pour up or on rocks. I prefer the rocks.

Fresh squeezed juices only!
Prepare honey water ahead of time and keep on hand - warm equal parts honey and water (or 2 parts water to honey) your call to taste.

Orange bitters are available on Amazon or elsewhere. It's a great drink!

Good journey, for sure, RVM2!
Friends and relatives not seen for years, some for over 20 years.

3 nights on the way, 320 miles per day avg, so beyond my 2 day travel and 1-week minimum stay comfort zone, but a grand time with daughter and grandson aboard.

PA is still long East to West, Ohio and Indiana are still pretty flat, and the number of deer within 10 feet of the highway in WI just about made me mess my johnnies a few times, but it is good to be back among friends and kin where I grew up, where I began my journey to RVMdom.

Busy, busy until next Monday, when we head back to PA with grandson spoilage at a maximum!

I have given up trying to read all that I have missed on the ever-mutating thread! But it seems it is taking on a life of its own, having 37 RVMs now.

My best wishes to all of you sick, twisted, wonderful Mutants!

Will check back when time allows.

So, how many closet ropelighters are there?

Dave and Nola
