Hey there homeless! Are you an RVM?

Read the first few posts on this thread to make sure you understand our mission.

Then tell us about things you do not have and do not need, and proclaim the Journey as your Destination.

You can be RVM71.
Dave

My procedure was nothing like Barb's. Sitting at breakfast waiting for my bacon and eggs. Just a touch groggy but not enough to post any serious gibberish.

Plenty of time to ponder for a few days with the leg raised.

Hey Don, if you work it right you might be able to parlay this into 3 days of no chores and 2 days of "oh Honey, would you get me".

I assume you had a little arthroscopic clean up of the meniscus? amazing what they can do now without a big incision.

Did I meet you in Natchitoches La. on Christmas day? If I remember right, you were on your way to Dallas.

Went over to Cooper Lake and Sulphur Springs today. Here are the direction, pictures and info from the park.

Directions from I-30 to Cooper Lake State Park.

I-30 East to Sulphur Springs, Exit 122 (TX 19 North) continue approx 5 miles to the junction of TX-19 and TX 154

Turn left on TX 19/154 and continue 10 miles to State Hwy 71 Turn Left , ( Flashing light at the intersection, Exon Station on the right)

Continue 4 miles to State Hwy 3505, Turn Right, continue 1 mile to the Cooper State Park entrance.

After leaving the Headquarters Building, go straight to the first street to the left Turn Left. Continue 2 miles to the entrance of “Bright Star” RV sites.

Most of the sites look level. Some of the smaller ones are not level but I think they would be too small for a MH anyway.

The park is about 16 miles from I-30 . There are only two sites with sewer connections and both are occupied by the Camp Host. There is a dump station near the “Bright Star” area. Reservations are accepted ONLY for a site, NOT for a specific site. They are booked on a first come basis.

Rates are $16 for water and electricity plus $5 for each person per night = $26 non resident under 65.
If you are a Texas resident 65 or older or have a SS disability you can get a senior pass (free) that reduces the entrance fee to $3 and half at any state park. You can get the pass when you arrive.

Here is a link to pictures of the sites and PDFs of a map and information sheet from the park.

Hope this helps,

Jim
