Yea and those two were great together. Not sure how they would fare with today's audience. Three cheers - six martinis each - and what, a two pack of cigarettes a day habit....

But what charisma. Who has that these days?
Lights out. More tomorrow!

And i was also thinking about your knees, but too was wondering about Arlene s husband? Any progress?

Rope lights will never be as safe nor as charming as a hurricane candle.

Hurricane candles provide a gentle, flickering, romantic yellow glow that can show the way to camp from afar, and also provide a variety of superbly pleasant and softly wafting aromas.

Rope lights can trip you and have the harsh, evil glow of Nurse Ratched. Lets see a rope light waft an aroma then, aye?

So there!

(Wink-wink)

How can I possibly argue with that?

Don is still in the ICU after 7.5 weeks, but is making slow progress. His gag reflex has returned and he spends 8 hours each day without ventilator assistance, breathing on his own. He has regained feeling and movement in many places, but he will be like a baby, needing to relearn how to walk and talk. The doctors are still cautiously optimistic that he can make a near full recovery eventually. But it might take another 6-9 months.

The hospital has been trying to find a facility to move him to, because Medicare is no longer paying enough for them to make a profit on him. Now they say Portland, OR, but the plan has changed a dozen times.

This is really taking a heavy toll on Arlene. She may end up in the bed next to him.
