You have it half right. She is all the above, but still in diapers, has the intelligence of a 3 to 5 year old human, and hard wired to disassemble everything she finds.

Yes, I'm certifiably insane, LOL.

Welcome, Mekanic! You are RVM26!

Kitts Hill is in a beautiful area, with the Wayne Nat'l Forest and the Ohio River.

I have seen a few rigs made from scratch, and have been impressed by the ingenuity involved, to say nothing of the love of a huge project!

Again, welcome, you RV Mutant!

My Mom always said I wasn't quite right in the head. I like to think I'm simply a bit unique!
And then there is RVM2.... Jury is still out.
Love your stories!

After reading about all the other RV Mutants I guess that we would qualify since we came up from canoe camping. Some of the things that we don't miss are: 4 slide outs; 330 HP; 6-7 MPG; speeds over 68 MPH on flat ground; satellite following antenna; monthly notes; and a lap top (we have a Nook). Some of the things that we enjoy are AC; our own toilet and shower; our own BED; and stopping and taking a nap when we want to. I am in the process of putting a dishwasher in for our up-coming trip. I found out that by taking out the oven (who uses it anyway) I had room for a dishwasher. The only problem is that I have to raise the stove 1 1/2 inches. The DW is from the up-stairs den so the price was right.

I hope that this qualifies us for membership.

Teffy - welcome to RVMdom. You are RVM26.
As you know by now it's not what have or don't have that makes the RVM life so rewarding. It's the satisfaction and contentment with your rig that matters. Making it yours with upgrades is all part of journey and why we don't miss what we don't have.

We have not taken an inventory of RVM rigs because it doesn't matter to us - but we have old and new alike - some with many comforts and some with very few. Some are in various stages of renovation. It's all part of the journey. When the journey is the destination you're never disappointed!

RVM9 - good morning to you. I was reading one of your threads about the renovation you're doing on the Cub. You are certainly a Creative RVM!! How's it coming along. Did you work out your window treatments. It's funny. When I saw the material you picked out I thought you were using our Bounder for ideas. Very similar and know you will love that color scheme if you go with it. Ours looks like this.

Hi all! I've been doing a lot of thinking about my situation, and would like some feedback on an idea I have that could work for me, just for this Summer anyway. It could get me "out there" on weekends (need to work during the week). Some of you know I have a small pickup w/canopy.

I'd like to throw in a mattress to sleep on, and all my other needs (stove, etc.)can be packed in my Cab Plus area, or somethings in back. I mean this gal is gonna travel light.

What I need to find out about, is a good way to put up curtains in the canopy. If this needs to be posted elsewhere, please move it for me, but I figured some of you have "built your own" or "revamped" your RV's and may give me some good idea. The part I can't figure is how to hook up the curtains, I can sew them easy. But rods to hook up, not sure

Hope I don't sound to "mutated" LOL!! And Steve, I am working out my plan You wouldn't believe how well your info goes with my Personal Finance class I am taking, yeehaw!!

Denise
