X 3. Haven't written a paper check in years. My bank guarantees to pick up any late fees or penalties if a payment gets lost. Most everything is on automatic debit so all I have to do is make sure there is money in the checking account.

We have about a hundred feet or so of rope lights in our "Winter" storage box. There was a big pack rat problem at the volunteer campground where we spent the winter. They would get into engine compartments etc and chew up wiring to make nests. The best way to deter them turned out to be light, since the little varmints prefer pitch darkness for their nefarious activities. I laid a rope light perimeter around the coach and the toad and never had a problem.

This is exactly what I told RVM1 - but he doesn't boondock. I still say they make for nice ambiance at happy hour even when plugged in. Working on some ideas for easy clip on / stringing. It's a tough job but someone has to do it. As I said before - already had them for a Mardi GRAS party any way. Need a few more strands! They don't weigh much - don't take up much space and are low draw. Not free - but what is - and not that many $'s.

I always get confused about what an RVM can claim as not having but not being missed. LOL Since my FT started 3 weeks ago I still have to say what I don't have from my S&B and don't/do have in my MH.
I don't miss the dead sounding walls of my S&B and really like the sound of the wind and rain (as long as it isn't too scarey strong) as I am sitting in or around my motor HOME. I am NOT gonna miss the sound of that dang air handler directly above my desk at work either.

As one of the "Rumble in the Cape" group you I have to caution you and RVM32 about over polishing your wheels. You can rub the shine right off of em if not careful. At least that's what I tell Annie.

RVM32 - huntnski - unlike other groups - we offer no shiny objects or ask much of our fellow mutants. Don't have it, don't miss it. Journey is the destination. You have met the criteria and all rights and privileges are herby extended and bestowed.
Now some may not know that you recently transitioned from the 5er to the 40x. You, like me and a few other mutants are still in the settling in stages. Need this and that, here and there. That's all part of our journey. RVM1 has provided a good tutorial on end of 1 year full timing load lightening. Didn't need it - won't miss it. As RVM1 says - it owed me nothing - so long needless weight and space taker!!
Welcome aboard RVM32. You are definitely mutant material. BTW - weren't you headed toward NM and CO? Those are two of our favorite places for summer!! Post up - and as I recall - ya never did go back and post those new rig photos in those shopping day threads of yours. promises - promises.
Safe travels.

Judy, the best mutant way to manage utility bills is to not have any No S&B = no utilities. The second best way is to have them automatically charged to a CC with a cash back rewards program
My new central vac (Intervac) is half the size of the shop vac it replaced and no power cords for the puppy to chew.
No rope lights.

Our sticks and bricks had a room painted and some minor touch ups done yesterday,. The house is empty and we have a pod loaded with stuff the wife cannot live without. Our final destination from Kalifornia (both natives) will be Orlando Florida where our two 19 yr old grandsons want to work.
The house will go on the market very shortly and based on current conditions will probably sell quickly.
Our few bills for insurance, phones, etc are paid automatically by CC with points and we pay that once a month.
As a friend says, we have Hitch Itch bad. We spent two months (6 weeks at Disneyland area), in Southern Calif. Came back to clear out the house and clear out of Kalifornia.
We will miss the weather, incredible local produce, and the friends.
Sold our boat, Hummer, and gave away a house full of stuff to friends and family. Gave my business interest to my partner.
Have done about 100 mods to the RV.

YC1 - if your RV doesn't have some things and you don't miss em - if the journey is your destination - you meet the qualifications of an RV Mutant. We are 32 strong and growing almost daily. I'm sure many of the mutants recognize your screen name from you insightful posts. We would be happy to have you join the mutants. Name a thing or two your RV doesn't have and you don't miss and become RVM33.
Ya know ya wanna. Cause deep down ya know the RV lifestyle isn't about having things - not every gadget and henweigh. It's about the journey.
