Look on top of your head for your glasses. That's where I find mine a lot of times after searching high and low for them.

Possum sent me information on why they may not be visiting the Mutants the last couple days. He asked me to inform you, if you asked, why they were MIA.

Possum, I hate to tell you this, but no one asked. You were really missed.

Possum, may need to contact your DW. I'm sure I'm related and have a large sum coming my way, I was really close to ol aunt sweety, that's what I always called her.

Ok I may be joking in a serous area but I know the stress your wife is dealing with, it happens in many other close, happy families.

Your trip of 7 days coming and going would certainly make for a long journey, even when the Jorney is the Destanation! Let me suggest, come early, stay late or try out som of south Texas first then come over. You'll find winter in AR is not that bad. Looked it up, average days of snow in Hot Springs, AR is 1.1!

There was no need to ask. Everyone follows Possums Threads and we read that they had to pull up anchor mid journey and head home to deal with the loss of a friend and the family breakup and down that often accompanies the execution of a will. I still ponder executing my sister over dads modest estate and it's been years. But like a good mutant - I let it go then and now and am the better for it.

The Ponder of Ponders?

What really makes us RVMs? Here are MY thoughts of how I hope makes us "unique". I know that in some post, a long time ago, I attempted this multifaceted ponder and was chided for it. Still...

Foundational ponders:

Is it our choice of coach?

Is it our choice of destinations?

Is it the routes of the journey we choose?

Is it the toys and trinkets we chose to have or not have?

IMHO what makes us RVMS are a few core values:

1. Our choice of seeing that life is not a single tick of the clock or turning of a calendar page. It is journey from THIS moment until the last moment and what we do in between.

2. It is recognizing that we band together in some crazy, weird mixture of humor to support fellow sojourners. It reminds us that no single thing defines us and our journey.

3. We accept that some of us are full timers, some are part timers, some like big rigs, some like tents. In the end it is not what we have that defines an RVM. It is how we approach the journey with the goal of living life to its fullest without structural limits.

4. We understand that we ARE WEIRD! We talk in pros, hyperbole and theory. We ponder things that others won't. We honor symbols like bacon as if they were the universal glue that binds us. Sometimes we say things that no one else (even other RVMs) can understand but we take that as just something else to ponder.

Sorry...might just sound like rambling but I just wanted to say it.

Don - I can't recite all the posts since The thread began - but am pretty sure, had you said just that, there would have been no chiding. On the other hand - maybe you did and were - and if so - apologies around.

It is clear that you - as have we all - grown in the ways and meaning of being a RV Mutant.

I'm sure as we grow and develop we will all learn more about what "being RVM" means to us collectively and individually.

At this time I submit 1 more...

RVMs no that no one is perfect and forgive and forget their fellow mutants mistakes and indiscretions.

Keep on pondering!

Boy do we agree here,

Nicely worded and just about sums us up.

Even when we disagree we can still be RVMs

Thank You Don !!!

And well said, one thing about the mutants that I really enjoy is that this group doesnt really care what it is that each of us individually have chosen to live in, only that we enjoy making the Journey our Destination, and expounding on the ways we venture out from our home base, be it Jeeping, kayaking, bicycling or hiking or whatever we so choose, and trying to look at the funny side of why it is we do such. Bacon of course is like icing on a cake, a simple pleasure to be enjoyed, for breakfast or lunch or dinner and among friends.
Another thing that really impresses me is that if I have a question about anything traveling wise, I can get an answer or a suggestion from all of you that have already been there and done that, with that kind of information how can you go wrong.
So this upcoming curiosity in Arkansas is exciting for me and the DW because 1) we have never been to Arkansas 2) it will be another place where its quite likely we will wish to visit again 3) once we are together and can compare notes, I am quite sure we will find new places of adventure to contemplate.

Cheers !!!

P.S. Hopefully it didnt sound like I was rambling either , carry on my mutating friends, carry on.

HerbnBarb !! good morning !!

The DW wants to know if there are wineries nearby, we do like to enjoy the fermented grape now and again especially with dinner or for relaxing, of course it cannot be compared to a great shot or two of the Crown or the virtues of a good single malt scotch, but that can be reserved for sippin around a nice fire to share stories and such. I am also hopeful that they may have a pontoon boat for a reasonable rent that could accommodate a small sightseeing party for those of us that dont kayak, errmmm or havent ventured into kayaking as of yet.

Cheers !!!
