At least that's my understanding.

That is a yes. We have a Granddaughter scheduled to be born on March 15, other than that we should be clear. We planned on staying in the Desert until mid April so, it looks like timing could be right!

Ermmmmm Catastrophic Tire Failure

Anyway I have a new spare now and all is good, thankfully that is the same tire that had a slow leak to begin with so although a rock punched through the tread its not as bad as it could have been.

Cheers !!!!

That happened to me when Miya was 18 months old. A dog not leashed came running out and attacked her. She and my foot kept the dog off but the damage was done. Up till that time she would walk up to a dog and do the sniff routine and then play. Now, any approach at us and she bristles up. She is fine unless they come towards us.

Such a shame that people are so irresponsible and let their dogs run loose. I dont' care how well trained they are, there is always the exception.

Dave I already have you down. We are at a count of 14 right now. Shortly I will post a map for all attendees to select their sites and give instructions on how to reserve it. CL will confirm each paid reservation to me and we will keep going till we need more. If you would like to preview go to

Regardless of the need or no need to be frugal, we have found that it is actually fun to take the frugal path. I personally like the challenge. It is an extension of my youthful days where "frugal" was absolutely necessary. Lectures at the dinner table given by depression survivor parents still are lingering in my memory. I have deep respect for their inner strength and survival stamina. After a lifetime of hard work, and successfully raising a family, they were still poor, but very happy. From that time on it was an explosion of success for their children and grandchildren. However looking around, I don't see a single one of us slipping away from the frugal lifestyle. It is in our DNA.

Going full-time RVing, for us will be be a mixture of the adventures of travel, and the fun of doing it frugally. We look forward to kibitzing with fellow RVers around the campfire soon.

I too remember those lectures.
I am also amazed sometime that the willpower , resilience or
whatever you want to name it of my parents generation.

I have in my 66 years found many happy "poor people".
The term being "poor" is a state of mind.

It is surprising how many people do not consider themselves "poor"
as they are rich in so many different ways, while others can not see the
richness of their lives.

Hi Herb - I can't seem to get my iPhone to go to anything but their mobile site - even backing out the / to mobile. And not sure why your link won't open either. A ponder and a half indeed.

On another note - I see more mutants are joining and emailing on the list serve.

Note - Possum is bringing enough fresh elk and caribou down from Canada to feed a small army of mutants. Right Possum? Wayne said he would bring a couple hundred pounds of fresh gulf shrimp and red snapper. I like these mutants that have meat lockers in their machines! Kidding of course but it wouldn't it be great mutant feast if we were able to bring our regional specialities along with us. Being from the DFW area I guess we would have to bring a restaurant. There's one on every corner.
