Well it's apparent the masses don't know good okra. Looks like Teffy (Stefanie) and I can enjoy all the steamed okra to ourselves. April might be a little early around AR for fresh okra, maybe someone can bring up some from south Texas, or of course frozen. I can tell I need to go ahead and start that diet now.i'm gaining weight just reading this thread.

Okay.

BTW, fried okra on the side is good for adding to the gumbo or jumbaliah or crawfish ettoufet.
And then there is red beans and rice!
Hey Dave !!!

Guess what Marcia and I found in the coach...... Mardi Gras Masks !!!! stashed away for who knows what, we will become masked mutants and hide inbetween the rest of ya's ....ya'll gonna have to educate me on this ettoufet stuff.

Cheers !!!

Hmmm... Still digging in tubs - but here's 2 bags of 10 dozen Mardi Gras beads and 2 cases of 24 brand spanking new Hurricane glasses. Gonna need some ice methinks.

Now where'd we put those dabloons? Oh me - guess I should be glad it didn't go in the last garage sale. Lol.

okmunky, we in the high power wheel sport call them wheelie bars.

I let Sadie take me for a walk this morning. (Can't say it too loud or she rattles the door and spins to the right.) Always to the right. Does that mean she is also mutated?
Hey Dunnar,

It sounds to me like Sadie is definitely mutated, no doubt about it at all.

As far as the tainted gas, did the report say which stations or brands received the tainted gas ? inquiring minds would like to know. It's the last thing we need as consumers geessshhhh

Well, today I mutated into my last birthday. LOL From here on out I will celebrate this day as the anniversary of my 59th birthday.

Enjoyed a nice 75 mile bicycle ride yesterday in preparation for today's eating events. MMMMM...ribs and cheese cake. LOL

My brother-in-law's birthday gift was helping me install my hitch on our CRV to carry my bicycles. Bobbie is a saint!

Found out today my daughter is pregnant with #4. It is a mixed bag but as long as she stays healthy...

Tomorrow I go to see my weight loss surgery doctor...my hero! 2 years, 140# ago...life is GREAT.

1 more day on furlough and 1 less day before Sandee and I retire. 44 days until engine start. Going back to work is gonna be real hard but I still have to turn in my paperwork to someone that can actually take it.

I think I am pre-mutating into retirement.

I keep dictating the dialog to my wife, and she can hardly wait to meet all of you!
Is the anticipation of Hot springs going to ruin Christmas for all of us?

It was on the new again tonight. Don't remember the location, but is was a Mobil station. Stations are paying for repairs, but what good is that when you're half way to Williams and break down.

Hey Don! Happy Birthday old man, tee hee. Like you, I have a hero doc in my past. Dec 19th will be my 10th re-birthday, 215#. Life is marvelous!

I must confess that I have never attended a Mardi Gras celebration. I did go to N'Orleans once but it was right after it had flooded from one of those epic rains. The whole town stunk, which some say is Bourbon St's norm. I hid out on one of the casino boats and won 3,500 nickels playing slots. Y'all may need to explain some of the traditions -- other than the drinking, that I get.

No, but Christmas may ruin the GC excitement for a day or two.

The feeling is mutuantual!!

Christmas won't be ruined as it's a whole nother thing! And I can't begin to tell you all Annie has for that holiday. I honestly believe we will have to have some sort of storage to go full time just for the Dickens Houses. Oh brother. That's a issue for another day.

Hello, boy oh boy, a lot has happened in the mutant world since I last checked in.
Our journey of 6 weeks has ended, and we are back in the great front range of Colorado.
I am busy trying to read of all the news here, as our internet connection was quite iffy.
Sending best of the best wishes to y'all.
