Mutating again tomorrow: our first cruise. The Coral Princess out of Ft. Lauderdale to Aruba; Cartagena, Colombia; Colon and the Panama Canal; Limon, Costa Rica; Grand Cayman and back. Ten days altogether. Lots of shore excursions on offer, each with its price, of course.

No RVs on board, but a group of about 100 FMCA members will be. Our own subgroup, with activities and seminars offered. Lots of folks with similar interests and tales to tell. Probably no campfires, but there's bound to be bacon in something, what with all the food abounding.

Or we may just spend most of our time sitting on the balcony watching the ocean swish by. Come to think of it, we'll have to perambulate the decks and stairs and frequent the exercise room in order to come to equilibrium with all that fooood.

Don't know what the connectivity will be, but I'll try to stay in touch. They won't let me send smoke signals, I'm guessing. Y'all b'have yerselfs, hear?

Cheers!

Hay! Have a great time!

What a Grand Mutation. And in RVM1 style: with balcony.

Now, would that be a Grand Curiosity idea, or what? (Hint-hint)

Pics please!

To all mutants.

Look again at the pictures and read what Herb almost said about hands. Then notice the smile on his face.

And all this on the first date. Wow!

You know boaters think of their vessels as RVs without wheels, don't ya?

I think of cruise ships as hotels on water complete with the same set of issues. That said - hard to see the places they will take you without going aboard. Still a hung jury for us. With so much to see and do on wheels, not sure if we will ever do it. We shall see. We shall see.

I got multiple emails of new posts that just took me to the same spot. Page 360. When it did start working I had three unread pages. Don't know if it was Cox.com or irv2.com, but it is working again.

I took a cruise from hell on a Princess Unit years ago and almost didn't go on the Alaska Cruise Birthday Special for my step daughter this past August because of the previous bad experience.

I am so happy I went and DW and I had a blast. The food is beyond expectations (escargot every evening meal, steak exactly as you ordered and great wines)

Mutate away dear lady as you will never regret the experience. The cruise industry has come a long way since the old Love Boat.

Cruise ships are food for jokes on late night talk shows.
