One day I went up to my teacher, Mrs. Muller, and asked if she has a paper sack that I could use. She called the entire class to order to point out that I, a kid raised in Texas, called the paper things that you brought groceries home in, sacks. Whereas everyone else in New York City referred to them as "paper bags". She said that I wasn't wrong, I had just grown up in a different part of the country and learned different names for some things.

So there, trash can or garbage can... both are right, Mrs Muller said so!

Now ponder this one... What do you call the usually carbonated beverage that often accompanies a burger and fries? Not specific, the general word used to describe the category of beverage. I have heard SO many different words used in that context.
MIX?

Hey, give him a break, his name is Dennis too. Slickest, welcome to the rainbow. To the two or so new RVMs that were annointed while I was absent without really wanting to be; welcome to the fold.

One last thing; where does one find that logo? I wants one too.

I'm sorry - but we are out of logos until tomorrow morning. I myself will miss El Kabong!

I still have a 5 1/4" drive somewhere in the back room. i could fire it up if I had to. I do have a 3 1/2 installed and working.

Mom Update:

Well Mom graduated to the unassisted ward. The last of the tubes are all out and she's been unhooked from the monitoring system.

She up and walking around (albeit slowly) on her own. Going to the washroom on her own. Eating regularly.

Doctor says she may go home tomorrow.

I'm sure it was all the prayers and well wishes from my fellow mutants that did it! Thanks again.

Now to get back to my regularly scheduled Birthday pampering and lounging.

Yes keep the logo, no offense to those that choose to all dress alike, I'm finding it difficult to keep separate who said what due to the same avatar. Guess I'll have to pay closer attention to the names. Don't get me wrong I love the avatar and really looking to change my avatar sooner or later, but it will be different in some way. I must be a mutant to the mutant fold!

Possum, maybe us outlaws just go to the beat of a different drummer!

Since I usually use the iPhone app - the screen name is right next to the avatar - so it is easier than looking at all the detail below it on the full site. I do like being a supporter and being able to have my RVM# below the avatar (shameless iRV2 PSA).

I do read other threads and forum groups where brand avatars a prominent so I guess I've gotten used to seeing the same avatar (Holiday Rambler for example ) and don't really use it as a reference point. But clearly all RVMs are free to roam the rainbow with the avatar of their choosing.

It is nice when reading other threads to quickly identify an RVM post by seeing the RVM logo though. I always watch for mutants posts in other threads and looking at unique Motorhome avatars has me looking for screen names. Now El Kabong is easily identifiable (when allowed to post )

I'm sort of the same. As Dogpatch, I would lose some of my identity with the loss of the Bulldog and the "Bull" sweater people have come to recognize me with going on 4 years.

My wife tells me I'm "different" (whatever she means by that).

Just can't bring myself to converting. Does that fall under the "don't have it and don't miss it" clause?

Don't mean to offend anyone by stickin to my avatar.

It's a wonderful logo and I'm proud to be a participating member. If a sticker or plate were made, it would be on my RV.

Bingo!
You have won a trip to the GC. See a guy named Jeff for funding.
