Hey Herb - I know it's warming up but this is still out of hand. This morning the patio thermometer says 27 degrees and there are 2 penguins sitting in our chairs. How bout you. Any penguins to report.

Not sure what you speak of. Truck has never seen a ditch. Actually never seen any off road yet.

It is 45 degrees here. Sure is cold. Well, for me anything below 70 degrees F is freezing.

Well, the snow and ice have all melted, but it's still way too cold! I'm with Wayne on preferred temps. Yesterday we tried to walk the dogs, but quickly gave up. The cold breeze coming off the river was bone chilling. I've had to buy winter clothes again.

Eleven more days before winter begins??? What have I gotten myself into?

We are still trying to escape, madly into the rush of piling everything into the rig that we could possibly even ponder needing in the next 3 1/2 months. Okay, that's just me. DH only needs a change of clothes, some tools and the business papers, and he's good to go. Oh yes, and food.

With any luck and a following wind (what are the chances?), we'll make Nashville area tomorrow evening. The rest of yez, keep yer warm on!

Back to it!
Cheers!
Sue

Enjoy Florida and all that lovely weather, Sue. Watch out for gators when you go kayaking.

Safe journey!

I found mention of this on another forum here and searched for the lyrics. This is the words to "My House” by Kacey Musgrave.

Sure fits some of us.

My House

Who needs a house up on a hill
When you can have one on four wheels
And take it anywhere the wind might blow?
You don't ever have to mow the yard
Just hang a map and throw a dart
And pray to God the engine starts and go

Water and electric and a place to drain the septic
Any KOA is A-OK as long as I'm with you
So come on hitch your wagon
To the living room I'm draggin'
If I can't bring you to my house
I'll bring my house to you

Parking lots and county lines
And counting mile marker signs
Where the buffalo and antelope roam
Greetings from Niagara Falls
One more postcard for the wall
Off in our own sweet home away from home

Water and electric and a place to drain the septic
Any KOA is A-OK as long as I'm with you
So come on hitch your wagon
To the living room I'm draggin'
If I can't bring you to my house
I'll bring my house to you

In Washington, in Idaho
In Oregon and away we go
To Tennessee and Arkansas
No, we won't stop 'til we've seen 'em all
'Til we've seen 'em all

So what else could you ask for?
You don't even need a passport
To see the whole world from our living room
So come on hitch your wagon
To the happiness I'm draggin'
If I can't bring you to my house
I'll bring my house to you
If I can't bring you to my house
I'll bring my house to you

It don't matter where we go
We'll never be alone
Anywhere beside you is a place that I'll call home
[2x]

I always wondered about some individuals, it's like turning a perfectly good mouse upside down and calling it a track ball. Never could keep it on track using one of those..

They almost drive themselves. Everything in my new truck can practically be operated by voice control.
The DW had a Ford as a loaner car while hers was in the shop, it parked itself, the only time I've ever seen her parallel park a car successfully...
