Congratulations on his power of self control to Steve, losing smoking and quitting unhealthy food consumption, at the same time! Hard to do, I'm sure. And I missed the Happy Birthday wishes to Annie yesterday, so belated Happy Birthday to Annie--who must certainly be Steve's Better Half.
We don't have scorpions here, but we do get Black widows here often.

Got a new G-string!

Just in time to celebrate Valentine's Day Mary and I took off for town. Found that perfect item, you know I had been without my G-string for quite some time. Haven gained a lot of weight it just couldn't hold up to the added pressure and as you might guess broke at the most unopertuned time. But now, not only in time for Valentine but also looking forward to both GC@CL and GC@AZ I will be my old self again and this time with a new G-string! Got it strung and tuned on my guitar and been working it over with my fat little fingers. Woohoo!

Thanks Judy! I'm still on the 7 mg patch to quick smoking. Not sure how many days of that are left. I don't know how much they help but it hasn't taken much will power to quit. It's probably due to having been so sick. I just really had no desire to even see a smoke.

Now food is another story. Annie and I love food! We love to cook it, eat it, go out to eat it, watch it made on TV, throw parties to eat it. Ugh, So this will take work and time. My new saying is "I didn't put the weight on overnight, can't expect to lose it overnight."

The other thing with food - like last night - I could have steered away from the lobster tail but it was actually in the 600 calorie grouping - but I blew that with a extra dressing on my ceased salad. Did not eat the baked potato - but we did split the stuffed mushrooms. Need to learn to let her have the big meal and go forth lite fare myself.

Thanks again for the encouragement Judy - but not sure how I feel about Annie and black widow being used in the same paragraph.

Steve, just look at my ugly mug shot and think, "If that goof can quit, then so can I." I look forward to your annual announcements of how long its been since you last coffin nail.

Happy 5th Anniversary to my Valentine. We are just young pups in the happy mutant married world but I still see stars in my eyes when I look at my Barb. It's not often that you get another opportunity late in life to find a mate who understands you, knows your thoughts before you speak and can be your best friend. I'm still a lucky guy!

Steve, It is good you aren't struggling with the physical actions of smoking. I remember trying to quit so many times with the patch and getting frustrated and just wanting to pull tha sucker off and roll it up and smoke it!

Congrats HerbnBarb.

Feeling like that you truly are a lucky guy!

I've been with Bonnie 18 years and I still well up thinking about her and how lucky I am.

Ya'll sure are mushy tonight...

Been almost 35 for us, but I gave him hell the first half or so and been trying to make it up since then.... was pretty young and confused when we tied the knot, but I now understand me a whole lot better so I can be a better half now... he is a wonderful fella for putting up with me for so long before I finally figured things out. and that's all the mushier I'm gonna get or I'll melt cause ya know girls are made of sugar and spice and all that rot...LOL!

Ya'll stop it now. Next you know we'll be in AL. That finishes the A's. Want to try for the B's. Now that I want to hear about.

(Don't look it up dummy, there isn't one.)

Tim, you posted, "

Thank you so much for the last sentence. I was getting bad visions, real bad. I even had one with a Kimono and you wearing.......well, just say the visions were bad, real bad.
