Where have all the mutants gone tonight? It's WAY too quiet this early in the evening. Is there something special on TV or did y'all join Sue on that 3 hour tour?

I'm here . Been researching bike racks as I am tired of taking them apart to put in back of pickup. Looking for good receiver mount platform rack. How are you doing with the new bionic knees?

Denis,
Earlene said you looked young with all that hair.
I told her the picture was most likely 25 years ago.

Thought I'd give everyone a break.
Annie has a cold. Not the flu, but she is not herself. Which in turn has me, not myself as well.

I'm merely gloomy to see her feeling poorly. It's my turn to be the nurse. I owe her much in that regard. Let's hope she isn't trying to collect payment in full. Methinks it the common bug and nothing more.

I have the SARIS CyclOn Pro
SARIS
I carry both a mountain and road bike on it. It can carry up to 4 bikes with an additional module. I have a the model for a 2" receiver. We added a hitch to our CRV and also just replaced my 2" drop recover on the MH with a dual receiver with both a 2" drop and a 4" rise. When we get parked for a few days I take the hitch off the car and put in in the upper receiver. I then use it like to secure my bikes and keep them off the ground.
I also had a custom bike cover made for when my bikes are on the carrier. It fits over both of them. Unfortunately the covers can't be used going down the road since they would block the toad's tail lights. I the rare case I take the MH to an event without the toad, I could then keep them covered.
You can NOT use the bike carrier on the MH and attach the car at the same time. It doesn't take a big turn to have the hitch contact the car.
I'll get a couple pictures later this weekend of the set up if you like.

The knees are starting to feel like knees finally. two more doses of blood thinners and 1 more PT visit and then I'm on my own. Oh, and 1 more visit to the surgeon for x-rays. I'm about to start driving the car. The MH will stay garaged for now.

Hey guys. If you want a cheap cover for anything carried on an outside rack, look at BBQ grill covers. I paid BIG $ for a cycle carrier and when it died someone clued me in on grill covers that start about $15. Lots of sizes and a bottom drawstring, too.
