Believe it or not - and unless I'm mistaken - the swing king - Bob Wills of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys was born in Turkey Texas. Good ole Waylon Jennings wrote about it - I grew up on music that we call western swing - once yer down in Texas boy Bob Wills is still the king!

Woke up this morning to snow covering everything in site, finished up the day in low 50s and holding 3 month old grand daughter. Just another great day on the rainbow.

Jim, read my post 12756 and tell me that didn't sound like our day in the Colorado mountains, rain, sleet, clouds and snow!

I believe I have observed that same weather in New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, Idaho and Montana. And all on the 4th of July over the years.

When I was in college I could jitterbug but only to The Kingston Trio for several years. Then the "love of my life " said listen to the beat of this song and low and behold I could dance to that one. Then along came square dancing and that was the most fun because everyone came to mix and have a good time. Now I'd like to polka but the hips don't like that idea.
