We love Sandpiper RV on Galveston Island. We watch the tankers and cargo ships in the bay go in the channel and out. Cruise ships come and go too and we are right on the beach..... It is wonderful!

Papaw Steve, if you go to Live Ships Map - AIS - Vessel Traffic and Positions - AIS Marine Traffic you can learn a lot about any ship that has a transponder on it. I often see ships here that look unusual and I go to that website and it will tell me that it's a dredge or a research vessel.

There is a hospital ship that I've seen a few times. It's painted white with big red crosses on it. I noticed that when it's headed to sea there are lots of people on deck, but when it returns nobody can be seen. I guess the novelty wears off. Or maybe they are busy packing so they can go home.

Do riverboat views count? We get our "fix" at Tom Sawyers RV Park, West Memphis, and a Corps park west of Montgomery, AL (I think it is called Gunter Hill). There are others along the Tombigbee Waterway.

R U an RV Mutant too?

Or....perhaps being ON a boat, watching whales.

Eastport Maine is a good one for that:

R U an RV Mutant too?

Come full circle 'round: Sky_Boss and Suspinz held both the first and the latest Mini-Curiosity. Is there a certificate for that?

So: pictures and it did happen!

Cheerio!

PS: Now I've confused myself. Did we meet Tina (timarti) ... before or after that. Lost in the mists of time!

Don please slow down your activity before you have a bad case of retirus- meltus- downer. The rainbow road awaits your return.

Wayne those Poppers ( no not the drug kind) sound delicious. Guess whose coming to dinner and it ain't Sydney Portia?

I have been pondering the meaning of the term do-daddy. My bride says to me go get that do-daddy for coach. Now I have enough trouble with do- hickeys? That sounds like a rather sexual reference to something I think....but then it's been awhile. Now I have do-daddy's and I don't know if I should get excited or what. Someone said that do-hickeys and do-daddies are closely related. Hmmmmm I guess I better ponder on this a little more. Maybe I will get lucky!
Actually I prefer using the thig-a-ma-jig.

I have a special set of thing-a-ma-jig jigs. I crank out thing-a-ma-jigs much more quickly now.

Well, I get a A+ for productivity today, but an F for following thru with my plans. But I'm gonna blame the weather. It was too cold to go kayaking until late this afternoon. By that time I was too tuckered out from another marathon weed pulling session and the wind came up making the river too choppy for me anyway. Maybe tomorrow?

Barb - no mutant knows better than you what tomorrow is for. It's for doing what the rainbow didn't let ya get to yesterday - or is that today....

You have made a life for yourself that affords you a new adventure every day and the freedom to adjust, adapt, and mutate. and a hearty tip 'o the hat!
