Let it be known throughout the RVMdom that Steve (Papawto5) and Di (Diwizi) have volunteered to be Official State RVM Sponsors for Indiana and Arkansas respectively. They both have expressed the desire to meet all mutants and help make Cs of all shapes and sizes possible - better - easier - faster - stronger - better than they were - and even attend if they can. Now how ya gonna top that? Maybe by joining them and volunteering to represent the RVMdom in your state!!
Thanks Steve and Di and for now - I'll do what I can for North Tejas!

Sylvia, to be honest I have to force myself to offer condolences, or congrats....etc . because it feels patronizing, or at least phony to offer it to those I don't really know. Also, the back and forth bantering, which to me feels like the equivalent to verbal grab-as*, I think gets in the way of real conversation. But, that's just me. I'm sure others feel differently. I too felt like giving up on the Mutants earlier this year, but I was one of the ones who got a PM from Steve, and it gave me a shot in the arm...even though I was worried that the 1st get together would make me feel more "distanced" from the group, since I couldn't attend.
But, I decided to try harder to participate in the conversation, and try to find more within the group that I could personally relate to, and find common ground with. And lastly I gave it my all and asked Barb to visit me when she came through a month ago. And wouldn't you know it...we met. I felt so much better after that.
I am one for directness and straightforwardness, and (what I deem) senseless bantering makes me uncomfortable, but sometimes people can't get to know each in any other way. And well....I want to know these people. How's it really going to hurt me to be uncomfortable sometimes?
Sylvia, won't you please give the group another chance?

Proof of Life:
Mini-C (or whatever it's called when there are six chairs around a table)
Dave, Wayne, Earlene, Bob, Stefanie, (jne behind the camera)
LaBelle, Texas, June 13, 2014
RVMs be advised: Wayne washes his car and Moho every 90 miles. Water and electric paid for in homemade cookie money. Yummy!!
Look out Florida. Here he comes.

It is a good day for us - the park host coordinator just called and we have passed our "criminal background check" and are now going to be a park host at Martin Dies Jr. state park just 10 miles west of Jasper Tx. We are due in on the 20th of June and will run thru Aug 10th.
TIM:
A big THANK YOU for enlightening us as to this possibility.

I have been pondering something about the RV and thought I should ask fellow mutants.
two items
1
Stripes or no Stripes Specificity Le Mans (Ford) Racing stripes. To give Er' a little more style
Like in this picture
2
Rear entry door. Do I really want one?
I have removed my roll-up door so I must build a back wall.
I do have a 19 X 33 emergency exit window that would look fine by its lonesome.
I also have a modern "No Frame" 18 X 48 Vertical window that if I used it
with a entry Door would look good.
My real concern with a back door is that I don't want to spend/have the money for a RV/moblie home door. for half of that I can a get a nice exterior house door.
Why I think one would be nice is that I could build a fold down Porch floor 7 X 7 Foot size. and have a folding porch roof of the same size.
odd thing is that this back door would open to the middle of the bathroom.
So what do the mutant crowd say?

Your MH would be very popular at parties. Imaging the Conga line for that bathroom!

Huh. And he could step outside to star gaze after he does his business. I think I like that.

Annie says tell Deb Hi! I know you prefer Az and S Texas is a long way from everywhere, but we would love to see ya down there this winter!
|
We will be passing the area around early October, and again in early March. I'm sure we will get down there, I love the coastal areas. We would've went to the Texas coast last year had I felt better. Deb was very happy to hear about your impending nuptials!
I personally don't share too much because I know many would wish well, and I like to keep my posts whimsical, and things I will share are celebratory in nature. My post about condolences was narrowly targeted.😃😃😃😃
I'm really hoping to get to your place for a week in March. I'll reserve early!

Check out this rainbow!
It came on a newsletter from the nursery in Oklahoma where I ordered Dunner's memorial trees. I sure hope it isn't photoshopped. It's pretty spectacular!

A ponder about rules:
It is not possible to ride too many trains.
It is not possible to take too many pics.
It is not possible to stare at too many campfires.
It is not possible to see too many Rainbows.
It is not possible to meet too many RVMs.

The answer is "NO", of course, Dave.
I did notice your new Avatar looks strangely familiar. Now where have I seen that face?

Barb, it is the lovely face of a Princess I met in Hot Springs. She gave the roof of my MH thorough inspection and approval, and thereafter charmed the masses gathered to celebrated her presense and delightful charm.
