More high tech talk! This old rooster still uses a flip phone that holds ten (yep 10) numbers of friends. Still have not filled up that list even with relatives included.

Phone rings ... rooster say "Hello" ... chit chat ... say "Goodbye". No text capability ... rooster happy.

Well, kids and grandkids have busy lives, unlike me. If I want to communicate with them, and cause them to answer the phone, I must either text or Facebook them first.

Just way it, I say just the way it is son. Look at me when, I say look at me when I'm talkin to you, son. (The boys as sharp as a bag of dead mice).
Okay, I'll shut up. I'm not one that has to keep talkin'. Some fellas just have to keep their mouths flappin', but not me! I was brought up right, my pa used to tell me "shut up" and I'd shut up! I wouldn't say nothin'! One time, darn-near starved to death - wouldnt tell him I was hungry.

I'm alive. LOL

Well...

I'm still feeling wimpy and have a fever that pushes 102-103 but I got a bag of fluids, some IV antibiotics, some more antibiotics to take for the next 5 days. I can also alternate between tylenol and motrin every 3 hours to help control the fever.

The blood work doesn't show anything so bad. I have a slightly elevated white cell count but not crazy. They took 3 blood culture samples. If any of those come back with bad news I could be back in the hospital. The most likely problem is I have some kind of virus and it will just take some time to work its way out of my system. However, they did take blood samples to test for tick borne diseases. Some of the tests will take a few days for the results to get back.

I didn't realize how hard I hit the floor when I passed out. I have a few bruises on my back and neck. My lower back is sore too but I think that is related to being in bed for over 24 hours.

We are staying at Cave Country RV Park and they have been FANTASTIC. Our original plan was to leave today. They have cleared the spot from booking until I'm mended and can get back on the road.

.

I will take that as good news for you. Not perfect, but on the mend with meds and such.
Thanks, Don.
How is Sandee?
Keep us tuned in!

Keep us tuned in!

Not kickin' much, but still breathing, hey? That breathin' thang is a good habit to keep up.

I sure hope the tests all come back negative for any nasty surprises! And that Sandee is able to cope with all the uncertainty ... and bed linen changes! Ohhhmmms to both of you!

All our best!

^^^ X2 and thanks for update Don! Tell Sandee to keep both Annie and my text messages up to date since she will be in Illinois the next 3 weeks starting tomorrow.

Now RVM1 was just making light of nearly starving - but with Annie gone I just might... get hungry. No way I will starve! Ha!

That is a nice big rig friendly park. We stop there to and from our snowbird trips. Have yet to do the cave tour, however. Maybe someday.

Hope your fever drops so you can get some rest.

Flaggship1. I go all the way back to DOS too. Sort of miss it now an then when I want to do something quickly.

Diwizi: Whoa... that's no Fun at all. A few years ago I learned something while doing a research paper on High Fructose Corn Syrup... that may be of use... Regular old corn syrup is pure Glucose. Might be a good idea to keep some Karo around. (I do)

Skyboss: Glad you are feeling better. 104 temp is scary high... you sure you aren't dain bramaged?

When someone gets aroundtuit and sticks together a mutant cookbook, I have a simple recipe to include:

Po Kids After School Slab Treat

Goes like this ... Slab of air dried white bread (end pieces are the best) ... swizzle of Karo syrup ... dollop of peanut butter.

Mix and spread over bread.

Flip on TV to catch Mickey Mouse Club and observe latest "development" of Annette.

Remember Diane, we set the bar really low, don't go over there all sparkiely and make us look bad! Currently if you can breath on your own and dress yourself you qualify. Our replacements were nearly 90, no kidding, they had a SIL and daughter camping there just to keep an eye on them! Lol

Hope you enjoy your time there, we really like meeting everyone!

My Mom used to make up a batch of Bee Hive corn syrup and peanut butter ready to use. I forgot what that tastes like but I know it was good as a kid!
