Ah, yes, the annual question. Short answer: Usually right after the 2nd Tuesday of December, so I can attend my spinners & weavers guild holiday party.

The rest of the answer: However...Martin is nervous of the weather and worries we will get snowed in and be unable to leave. Last year that would have been true, which was highly unusual. We'll just have to watch the weather forecasters do their best to predict the future of a chaotic system, and play it as it's dealt.

You'll be well ensconced in the RGV by then, won't you?

One of things I'm looking forward to in retirement is making these things myself and trying new things as we travel.

Nom nom sounds and looks delicious. Darn, now I'm hungry.

I my experience, everything small, like okra, when battered and fried takes on the same flavor... That of the batter and fry oil. I can eat fried okra, but I'd much prefer sliced homegrown tomatoes or steamed broccoli.

Tim, you can have my share! ... of okra, that is. I'll keep the good stuff.

Bring on the okra! And I've made many a meal out of nothing but sliced home grown tomatoes. Steamed broccoli is great as long as I have mustard to put on it. Tried it that way by accident once and that's how I eat it all the time now, really makes it zesty!

I thought who's on first base! Better stay north, the heat is returning to the south.

I have not experienced that. My popcorn shrimp, ried alligator, fried dill pickles, fired jalapeņo bottle caps etc are unmistakably distinct and unlike fried okra. And while my waistline says no, no, no, my stomach is saying yes, yes, yes... but my tempura shrimp, tempura broccoli, mushroom, onion and sweet potato do take on the taste of the dip when I dip them in it.

How is Don? Been home a week now and settling in to recovery mode? Are you able to estimate how long you might be staying there? Through the winter - but can forsee getting a trip or two or a little travel in... inquiring mutants wanna know!

We miss hearing from you and I miss your nightly travel logs on our email group.

Bye now.

Off to get Bonita after a little more cuppa (to borrow from Sue)...
So 1 leaky wheel seal fixed - all else good - state inspection passed. No codes. Hoses belts fluids all good. Radiator clean as a whistle and fluid and pressure test good. Tires aired and still brand new since April LOL. Brakes good. There was a line on the park break that was a little loose and leaking a bit of air. Reestabished connection. Said she's is really clean and in great shape.

Called around, Web priced, and visited a local shop for pricing of tow bar, base plate etc. Next duck in line...
