Route 66

Howdy STMs!

Today we stumbled onto an obscure 2-mile chunk of Route 66 in Joseph City AZ.
The remnants of Ella's Frontier is there near the old Big Arrow Campground.Vintage on these are about 1929 to 1967.

So, it may be a while longer before we find what we want! Oh, and I don't want to have to go farther than about 500 miles from home to get our coach. My heart may be "in a hurry" to find it, but if isn't right, we're not buying it!

And we then went into Holbrook and took some snaps at the infamous Wigwam Motel, circa 1936 to the late 80s. It has been in the National Register of Historic Places sine 2002.

We also stopped at one of the many petrified wood shops and found Tim and Steve the elusive fish they have been looking for. They can be yours, boys for about $4K each!

Thank you all for your thoughts. Sandee's mom passed on today after a long, full life. Sad to see her go but a joy to have known. Sandee's dad is doing well but given that his bride of 62 years is no longer at his side it is still hard.

Again...thanks!

You can have all 10, 'cause I don't like chocolate with a few exceptions.

X2, Don.
You and Sandee have had a lot of stuff tossed at you recently, and this type of loss is not easy for anyone.
Nola and I wish both of you the very best of times for a long stretch, and look forward to our next chance to see you!
