Okay everyone, watch out for Steve's tainted side.

p.s., Good thing I check my tires just before I leave every time.

The on-board compressor works well to inflate them if need be.

Is your on board like mine - slower than Christmas - so you bought a 150 psi to do the job. Or does Citrus actually have enough umph to air a tire in a reasonable amount of time.

Me-oh-my, I wish we could make the Rockport gathering of Mutants. No way this year. Is there a RVM rally once a year? We'll make the next one, for sure. I have to make y'all my bacon-wrapped, cheese-stuffed, grilled jalapeno boats.

Ok, do any Mutants own a coach made by National? What's the quality, fit and finish, etc? I asked that question on the Class A forum and the replies were very positive. National coaches are orphans, I understand, as the CA based company went out of business several years ago.

Steve to get the on board compressor to kick on and bring pressure up high enough to air up a tire you have to step on brake till it drops down low enough to start it. Our that works too!
I want to see a side by side comparison of pictures of that compartment 6 months from now! Mine started out somewhat neat but as time passes everything seams to shift to a more, shall we say, comfortable position, ie got tired of bumping head, now open bay door and tossing inside!

Tim - how do you pump brake at same time as filling tire...
I run extension cord to compressor - air hose circles the coach. And even that is not a fast fill. Coach compressor would drive me nuts. As for side by side. It's getting more loaded all the time - but will always be organized. I have to be that way cause everything in its place is easier on me getting around - to it - putting it back etc and Annie is a natural organizer! Works out well!

The Annie in my life likes the speed and ease of the standalone compressor....

She also likes the TST 507 - and repeater to the toad. She really didn't like taking the pressure tire by tire - running in - pumping the brake - running out - filing the tire - repeat. So I got her these things for Christmas - Birthday - Valentines - etc. Now that we're married I need to figure out what to get her for our anniversary. Maybe an outside refrigerator so she doesn't have to walk so far to bring me a beer... I thinks we have a bay with room...

Hmmm.

Sure! They were great ... just perhaps a tad loud for some of us (ahem) older folk with delicate ears. And maybe louder than the neighbors cared for.

Good musicians, good dancing, good fun! I'd give you an "Oh Yeah!" on it.

Mel... so far, we have had only 1 Grande curiosity... which was in April at Catherine's landing in Arkansas. Steve currently is compiling all of our suggestions for another next year. After he retires and gets out on the rainbow full time... he will look at those suggestions and make a suggestion which we all will readily agree to... and the planning will commence.

There are smaller curiosities that occur all over the rainbow, whenever, wherever mutants cross paths. Barb, Sena, Lily, Bob, Bess, and I had one here at my house prior to the Grande curiosity when Barb was making her way cross country to the big event.
I suggest you take advantage of those smaller type opportunities to get your feet wet slowly. It is not so overwhelming to show up at a Grande event if you personally meet a few folks first so you at least recognize a body when you get there.

Planning the Son of the first Grande Curiosity(second) is challenging due to mutants living in 2 countries at this point and spread out across those 2 countries east to west and north to south and some of those mutants are still paying into the social securitiy funds for the others 5 days a week with limited rainbow riding time..... we are going to try and get a different spot that will make it more feasible for some of those other mutants to join us... I am sure Steve would accept all the help offered.
Our gathering needs aren't that difficult... a large pavillion with electicity for our crock pots, bands etc.... or such place for party time/ meals... large enough pads/electric for those with large rainbow riders, and of course furry family member acceptance, and acceptance of some vintage age units... then there is the Sena provision... she can't leave the country and get back in safely and some states don't like her...but she is our mascot and is always to be considered!
