No big deal about Paleo. Just lose the carbs. Works for me! 💃 So glad you told me about it!

So for Rockport goers - I can fit two birds in my smoker. At the GC I did two turkeys * 14 lbers and there was barely enough for a couple sandwiches left over.
We will have significantly fewer mutants on hand in Rockport and I'm thinking a turkey and a goose. I have not had a goose in a good long while but love it. There is not much tastier than the crispy skin and some gander fat.... and the lightly smoked meat is pretty darn good too...
Thoughts - goose - turkey - one or the other - both... ??? 😄

Oooh, one of each, please! Don't think I've ever eaten goose before. Never mind the "cooked my goose" incidents!
That's if we get there, of course....

As best I know Tim - Wayne and Earlene and Annie and I are booked as solid as you can be with such things.
Sue and Martin are possibles - Marty and Bob are probable - Jeanie and Dave say yes but...
The Kids, Jay and Andrea are potentials - I gave Don and Colleen a call and personal invite but they were tentative at best - Dwayne and Shara are probably not but maybe - TEFFY is invisible but I did call and talk with them - maybe. Don and Sandee are back and forth given changing circumstances...
So.... setting an agenda isn't a big priority for Wayne and I... we have his smoothie recipe - my Vitamix for frozen Margaritas... and we have grills - cook stoves - a smoker - restaurants - bars - a fishing trip with a gulf Coast guide.... that we can pick and choose from.
To answer your question more directly - yes the itinerary is as follows...
NOV 14 - 21
Drifters RV Resort
Rockport Texas

Ha! Been there done that on the George Hartman bridge in Baytown, TX. Not fun at all, and not fun in the 40'er towing. I don't think it was 60 mph when we went over with the RV, more like 45 but seemed like 100.

Sue, you can tell your children, but you can't tell them much. They just don't listen.

A goose in the smoker is worth two in the bush.

Note to Steve & Annie and Herb & Barb - I'll be going to the Austin area this weekend to look at a few coaches. Going down w/my bro and SIL, staying at their lake house in Kingsland.
Trip to Ft. Worth is going to be Oct. 17/18. Kate has a church conference to attend (she's a pastor and hospice chaplain) and I have to look at MHs - oh, darn. ;-)
Will let you know what I find in Austin. Will want your advice/opinions on anything I think we might be interested in.

Now Wayne. You know we'll have Annie and Earlene too keep us sensible - and after they out fish us - I have a feeling we'll be drowning our sorrow in smoothies and hanging our heads in defeat.

I hope you have reserved that RV and a spot at Drifters, Mel. Daring Tim, or most RVMs is like waving a red cape in front of a bull. See ya in Rockport!

Ha!! And did not intentionally leave you off the list Barb - old age oversight -
I know you are headed that way - and as I recall will be there unless "you get a better offer"...
Are you still planning winter in Florida?

I heard that road kill was the Texas tradition. It's just that more possums and armadillo meet their end while crossing.

It's probably Florida, but ya never know. Having a safe place for Sena and Lily is my first priority. Did I mention that Sena got into Bob's house and popped off most of the keys on his laptop yesterday? We managed to get all but the control key back on and the K is a little wonky. .
She has a new nickname -- Criminal. And she spent several hours in jail yesterday.
All Rockport bound mutants are hereby advised that my little Criminal is an escape artist and a break and enter thief. The sliding panel on screen doors is easy for her to open.
