Ok, I am SO curious to know what the "Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant" moniker really means and how the heck you got it. There has to be a story with that!

Healing thoughts coming your way, too. Ohmmmmmmmmm.....

I will look at the first 3 this weekend, if they are still there. We'll see about the others... have to do my looking on weekends.

This question goes out to our in house Psychiatrist.

Is Steve quoting himself the same as speaking in second person?

Steve said this, then Steve added this where upon Steve answered with this. Lol

Love you brother, your one of a kind, well actually both of you!

Thanks Tim. So here's the thing - The Temps have been working on RV Mutant shorthand for us and a Mutant Post # footnote system. That way linking - annotating and enhancing previous posts will take up less space and thereby cut down on the number of pages to ketchup on...

But I'm am convinced that this thread has been good for some us... better for others. For instance, we when first met, you could never have strung such a post together!!

And btw - the feeling is mutual brother. :-)

Ok Mel, you asked for opinions, here's mine.

Given that things like tires and maintenance are somewhat the same, I would think the Newmar and Monaco would be at the top of my list.

#1 National -- Love the floors, but almost no closet space. Hard to fulltime in this one.

#2 Newmar -- more closets, nice floor plan, stained carpet needs to go.

#3 Monaco -- wish there was a floor plan, more stained carpet, is that a jackknife sofa? Lower mileage.

#4 Fleetwood -- only 34' long, nice floor plan but carpet must be bad as there are no pictures of it.

#5 HR -- this was a rental unit! Don't waste time looking.

#6 Fleetwood 37' -- if you don't love the decor there would be a lot to redo. So many mirrors, where's the smoke?

Mel - I have looked at your list - but can't really say. You might post in the Owners Forums for the models listed.

There is a Ford / Chevy thing between Cummins and Cat. I'm a Cummins fan others like Cats - both are good and both have years and models / with more or less issues. I can't tell ya which cause I don't know.

I like a bedroom slide cause they are usually a little small with and without them lol... but once you're asleep...

My advice at this time - keep your powder dry - until ya wear yourself out silly walking at Alvarado. :-)

And as for these folks questioning my sanity... one of them admittedly has a lifetime supply of Hawaiian Shirts and lives in Arkansas - the other has spent a long time sniffing diesel - and they have both joined us on this wacky thread... hmmm can we actually put much stock in their assessmemts.... ???

That does not require a Psychiatrist ... it requires a good editor to decipher!

Mel

Lol... With a smile....

I joined this group in December.... I am a retired educator, jr high most of those years,,, I am a lazy typist on my ipad, and my fingers have a tendency to slide to the neighboring keys. I am also a watercolor artist.... And at the GC i gave a workshop on painting with wc.... They learned i can talk fast even with a slow southern drawl.... Truth is I am a really good editor and spelling and grammar police..... But not since retiring.... My DH, Larry, said Wayne gave me the nickname... It is in the thread somewhere.... Anyway, when someone mis types now, they call it a Di move, SFM....

Glad you are here... Looking forward to getting yo know you both....

Diane is the original FTSFM........... (Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant, #64) and is retired, duh!
