Herb,
You might pass on Milk Thistle also. I first heard about it from a friend with Hepatitis C and when Sena overindulged on alcohol over the 4th of July weekend, it helped her liver function return to normal. She still takes it as it helps type 2 diabetes. It comes in drops or capsules.

I only suggest this because -
1) I have as many suggestions for CL as I do for anywhere - more really because I have multiple mutants saying they would love to go there again..
2) I have to pass that way in the spring to get to Illinois
3) It doesn't need much researching - just dates really.
4) We might be able to have Paul Byrd Band back by popular demand encore...
And Ed could turn tail and run to the Dreamers Rally. Which BTW I have long watched there activity and don't blame ya for the interest!
Let me hear it folks - any seconds for a Redux in late April @ CL? Then a Son of GC elsewhere TBD when I land in THE RGV??
|
^^^^^ For those who play ketchup by reading from most recent backeard.... ^^^^
And the Son of GC will occur later in the year - at a Location TBD - or in Dick Cheneys previously undisclosed location.

RV-Dreams Journal
A couple that have been full timers for years and now have some rallys each year. Thought I might learn a thing or two....
We really want to put the mutant GC first... so nailing down a date for CL would be great. Will see if we can make the fall one, will depend on location.
So went to mail box today, no mutant mugs yet.... try explaing to DGD what mutants are.

The River Plantation that the Dreamers are having the rally at is opened by same people that owns Catherine's Landing (GC@CL). Chuck and maybe Sue was there earlier this year.
Now, try explaining to a mutant what DGD is!

I think returning to CL is a great idea. It is far enough south to have a chance of being reasonably warm, late enough for northerners to de-winterize their RVs, and within reasonable reach of a large number of RVMs.
I think this gathering should be much less packed with activities for all concerned. Everyone should have time to enjoy the festivities including those that are the major organizers. One planned "big" meal and a pot luck are enough to start with. Maybe a night where we bring out a few grills for folks to share and do their own grilling would be nice and a good lead in to the the night of the band.
Perhaps there is a need for RVM "chapters". Nothing formal but there isn't really a reason that a GC in other parts of RVMdom can't be done by those closer to other larger groups of RVMs. A GC in the NW organized by other RVMs closer to that area. Just a suggestion.

Don, I nominate you! Plan us a GC say in upstate NY, or Maine or Montana or Oregon or you name it! Still want to do the Ca, Or Wa trip your planning. The planning is my downfall!

Today we found a real gem!
Highway 69 Antiques, Old Mayer, AZ
The first thing that caught my eye was the 1929 Ford truck. It was used at Thompson's Lumber, Hutchinson, MN.
They are on Old Hwy 69 across the street from Big Bug Station, the stagecoach stop between Phoenix and Prescott.
