In other news, our MH now has its own sewing machine. I found a great deal on a workhorse from Sweden (and, yes, it has an accent, ya). It will now travel with us so I can do two favorite things at the same time - quilting and camping.
Hugs to a mutant peoples.

Sheesh! Too many thoughts to chase down, and I wanna answer them all!
First off, congratulations to you and Kate on your marriage! It's gonna be wondrous!
As for music, I was in college before I discovered that ukelele and loved the baritone sound. Found a secondhand one I could just barely afford ... $30. Pretty much self taught.
A friend taught me a little classical guitar on her instrument a few years later. Again, I bought used, but never got as much use out of that as the uke.
So a girl band, eh? Who sings? And Kate is a percussionist? I have a couple of gourd instruments she'd enjoy: a shekere and a rain stick, both made in classes. Always thought I'd like to make a thumb piano on a big gourd, too, but haven't yet.
Too sleepy to think straight any more. Gonna ketchup a bit more and then close my baby blues. 'Night all!

Yes, it's a Husqvarna. I have a quilting one for the house, too. I grew up in the industry. My dad had fabric and sewing machines. He won a trip to Sweden for being in the top ten sellers of Vikings in the U.S. He even got a Husqvarna from the king of Sweden. I love Vikings. I feel sad for people who don't know and love them.

I have only one question, does it make cupcakes? You know, those mythical items that or so desired but heald afar. Those morsels of goodness dangled before us but never materialized. So tell me Liz, does it make cupcakes? Lol
Or carve pumpkins?

Another female non-mower! Martin will be so pleased to hear that ... not. He never fails to point out women mowing, in the vain hope that I'll take over that job.
Motors: inFernal combustion engines. Not my cuppa.
We finally got a portable sewing machine for use in the Bella Rigatoni. Nothing fancy, except that it is computerized. It lives under the dinette, so is out of the way, but still handy to pull out. I love being able to take it to the Rec Room or the patio when I want to.
My sewing is mostly piecing. I enjoy doing the actual quilting by hand. Obviously not king-size quilts!
Cheers!
Sue
