Diane toftSFM#64....... (The Original Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant) and is retired, duh!

Just to let you know ... we much prefer state parks. They are the best deal going, generally, in our humble opinions. We like some national park campgrounds, too, for the beauty and splendor of sites/scenery. Don't need a park with a pool and a rec hall and a mall and a theater. Ha! Like to keep it simple, support the state and national parks (help keep 'em open, everybody!), hike a little, meet folks and visit or play games and visit, etc.

And I ALWAYS do litter patrol at least a couple of times wherever we camp. Usually hang 2 or 3 plastic bags on my belt, grab some gloves and take off walking around the campground or on the trails. I've picked up hundreds of pounds of trash, I'm sure, through the years! Often, I let the park staff know I'm doing it. They are always very appreciative.

One small way I can "give back" to help keep our public lands cleaner. God gave us some beautiful places to enjoy. Too bad we trash 'em up so much!

See ya in Oregon sometime in the Spring of 1016!

We're not in Livingston, actually. We're in a Houston suburb (Humble). I was born and raised in this area. When we get into the rig on January 1 we'll go back to the Livingston address for SKPs. We get up there from time to time but mostly it's a mail drop. Anyway....we'd love to touch base with you at some point before we hit the road again on May 17. We head to Galveston occasionally for the day (NEVER in summer - too crowded and hot), so maybe we could meet up for lunch on the way through TC. We'll work on that next time we get down there.

Hey Bev just a fair warning coming from experience...... If you guys meet Wayne and Earlene for dinner just remember one thing......don't let Wayne drive!

So mutants - if yer ears are burning - you'll know why.

So, how did it go? Did they all enjoy the presentation? Bet you had them thinking ... and rolling in the aisles.

Good planning for retirement should always include such meetings as this. Not everyone thinks ahead realistically enough to see what the challenges of retirement might be. I know some folks have no idea that they will need something meaningful to fill their time. (Not us, of course!)

How many more days? Or is that hours, minutes, and seconds?

Don't forget to remove the names to protect the not so innocent. Now, is it over? Did the roll on the floor laughing their tooshies off.

I thought I saw you were in the Greater Houston Area. Humble is not that far. For you non-Texans, the "H" is silent. It's pronounced "Umble."

Be happy to share a lunch or whatever with you. Also, there are other STM's that come down this-a-way almost yearly so be on the watch for a mini-c.

Do you think you can make it to Rockport in November. You could meet a bunch there.

Do not listen to him. He no not what he speaks about. It was the best meal of his visit in this area.

Based on your description - I walked right past you Saturday... have waved your advances on in the past - and shamefully watched witches burn in 1016.

Just popping in to say... MIL having big surgery today, but it has been postponed from around 4 ish until sometime between 6-8 due to busy surgeon syndrome....
She is doing great for a very active 86 y.o. lady who still lives in her own home, etc... she wore out her first spouse and put him in the grave back in '03...(Bob's dad), and has been working at the same with this spouse named Bob also... hopefully they will live the same amount of time so no one gets left behind as the lonely only........
