Creamed Tomato Soup!!!

It is part if dinner tonight, and when she brought out the recipe I knew I simply MUST share it here!

We grew about 24 plants each season and canned about 100 qts each Fall. The soup was great whether made from fresh or canned (jars or store bought).

The KEY ingredient was baking soda, which neutralized the acid so the cream would not curdle. (FYI, the recipe says milk or half n half, but Nola always used CREAM)!

It is in this pic of the recipe. The spots on the paper are evidence of how much the recipe was used.

Enjoy!

What a wonderful time for you to post this. Denise just thawed out a bunch of fresh frozen tomatoes from our garden and we will try your recipe post haste. Thank you #1

Judy,

Mutant mini and Midi Curiosities have taken place all over North America and last year there was a huge Mutant Gathering in Catherine's Landing in Hot Springs Arkansas that proved to need a part two which is being held next April and then there will be a second Grand Curiosity hopefully someplace in or close to the Pacific Northwet.

I should warn you that just before Christmas all the newer RVM's are required to do a test in order to remain in RVMdom.

Hi Kate!
Well, I marked off another year today with margaritas and delish Mexican fare at a local restaurant. (I wish I'd had bacon!)

yes.. Judy, many of us gathered in Arkansas in April, Some of us gather here and there for small get togethers when we are in the general vicinity of each other... Some of us are travelling to rockport TX in a couple weeks to escape the cold for a week or 2...and they want all of us to congregate again in Arkansas next April... but I think I might be saving my pennies and vacation time off for a Curiosity in the grand North Wet.....( West) so I can see some of our Canadians....and perhaps fly some canyons with my hubby on the way there and back if we find creative enough routes!

Happy Birthday Mel! That puts your dream a little closer...

We sure could use a mutant with your energy around here. Annie was understandably out of commission the past two days with worries about dad. Our jaunt to SD was tiring but we really had a great time. We knocked everything out so quickly we sort lost our momentum relaxing and before we could gain it back we were off kilter with dad. Sis says he's still a bit off and we don't really know what to make of it. The MRI and time will tell. Anyway - I recall your energetic pace running around the state getting your coach... who unless I missed remains nameless... lol. Don't tell but our CR-V is still nameless. Doh.

Movers Wednesday - tween 9:30 - 10:30.
