It's been a blast, and super to get better acquainted with everybody. It will be eerily quiet in Rockport the next few days ... unless we can set Steve to talkin'. Set him off and he's a verbal bobble head doll, right? 😬 Who knew?

Think he's the only one? Oh, no! Wayne thinks he's the only one, and then there's ... oh well, you get the picture. It got so full of hot air in this rig last night that we had to open the windows and turn on the exhaust fan! And pass out hand fans. Whew!

My laugh muscles hurt!

Cheers, and happy, safe travels to all on the rainbow! See y'all down the road.

Sue

Just checking in. Flagship1 called me a procrastinater last night (I'll deside if I am later!),so hi all. Been very busy since I last poked my head out if my burrow. Spent 45 days in NC, but had little to no internet. Barely had cell service, but our site was a gift from friends so won't complain. Then went to S Fl to attend to medical issues. After a few anxious weeks DW was declared free to walk about the cabin!!☺ Cleared out our storage (big job), and headed to our wintering spot in Holt FL. It's 35mi north of Destin, just off I10. Nice clean 65 site park. Any RVM's passing thru, we would love to say hi. It's called Eagle's Landing. Check it out. Only problem is it's not warm enough. 21deg Wed overnight, but now 38 at night and 56-75 day. Not sure my brain was firing on all cyl when we signed up for winter here, but we'll see.
Finally got really good Internet, tried to go back and catch up on RVMdom. Wow can y'all cover a lot of topics. Luckily bacon is mentioned frequently so I'm able to stay focused. Was a bit afraid of jumping back on the forum without catching up with all the musings, but Steve assured me any embarrassing statements I make due to lack of knowledge of past conversations would be forgiven after consulting the proper mutants-grand wizards-all knowing poobah's. I'll therefore attempt to stay more current in my postings. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas to all. RVM43

I believe there are 17 signed up now - 18 is a nice round number so jump aboard the RVMutant GC 1.2 Redux...

Dateline Rockport, Texas...
Last night a handful of RMS were given a glimpse into the plot of Murder at Ropelight Gulch. They are sworn to secrecy so don't even ask...

Dave - put away the almonds - Sena wasn't there and doesn't know...

We are still crying here in Rockport. First it was tears of joy to see you - then tears of sweet sorrow to wave goodbye - and now tears of elation for knowing you safe and heading home... !

Same goes for all...

We'll be coming across I-10 next week and would love to stop and say howdy. I'm not sure which day because google won't give me mileage at the moment. We'll leave Houston Sunday am and drive 250-300 miles/day. We're headed to the Tampa area where it will be a bit warmer.

It's always a lengthy goodbye when mutants are involved. We were the last of today's Rockport departures. Wouldn't you know that the best weather of the week happens the day we leave. Despite the gloomy, rainy weather, going back to Rockport was a blast. So many childhood memories revisited and lots of new STM memories forged this past week.

We'll get to spend time with a few RVMs who are venturing to Florida's west coast in the months to come and look forward to GC1.2 in April.

Safe travels and hugs to all!

Hurray for your side.

I haven't gone back to catch up on everyone's antics, but I bet Rockport was a blast.
Probably was especially for Wayne.

Steve, I haven't forgotten that I owe you postage money ... I'll get it in the mail eventually! One day you'll pick up the mail and voila! There it'll be. ;-)

Talking about games ...
Kate & I won a cow chip toss years ago at a group campout in the Hill Country. Woot, woot. You do know that you wear gloves and use dried cow patties, Dave. You toss 'em into a tow sack that your partner holds open from 40 feet away.

Time to get ready for wor ... wrrrrr ... wooorrrr .... Can't bring myself to say it. That thing I do that let us buy the MH.

Hope everyone is well, happy and planning on going to CL in April.

Mel
I would like to think that the thousands of miles we've driven back and forth on the Island will have proved out and this will thing will be settled.

I nominate Mel and Kate for referees. They are already experienced as champions so should not be allowed to become ringers.

You never attend campfire gatherings. The only difference is this BS actually has substance.

I definitely do not suffer from this.

No problem with cow chips. Just make sure Dennis (Possum) is there and there will be plenty of BS.
Hey big guy you're starting to get awful personal here, donchaknow?

No problem there either. We'll just open the back of your Jeep (TOAD) and toss them in there. Anyone that can hit the back of the head of the owner sitting in the driver's seat is a winner.
Get's my vote.

Why am I nervous about where that plot is going???

"As The Rainbow Rambles" could make a great TV series eh?

Wanna put odds on that pending warmth.

If all goes well and the creeks don't rise we're trying to plan an excursion south for a few weeks this winter. No real destination thought of other than warmth.

Few vestiges of snow left at Bob's mom's place. Her sweetie is taking good care of her....and she is doing well. Now for the last 3 hour segment of the journey! I think we'll beat the 10 O'Clock news!
