Hello to the Texas Mutants,

Thank you all for your input into my question, y'all are so very helpful. Steve , Jim , and Herb I'll pass the info on to my navigator and she will wind us through the afore mentioned obsticals with ease, she only closes her eyes when it gets scary.

Herb we would love to stop and have a mini, but my daughter is pretty much begging her daddy to be there for Thanksgiving and those of us that daughters , well ya know they can twist ya round their fingers.

Marty I know they make good chews but at the price of venison these days why those would be some mighty fine dogs indeed ...... lol ......

Cheers !!!!!

Jeff - I looked at it again - and at Greenville - you can pick up 380 West - leisurely run 380 to the little 288 loop around downtown Denton. It will run you around to the access road of 35 right past Camping World. Stay on access road for about a mile and take a right onto 380 again... over to Decatur. From there south on FM 51 to Weatherford where you pick up I-20.

This route will be ho-hum - some stop and go and add about 30 - 45 minutes to your trip and 2 years to your life.

Some mutants like mixing it up with the big rigs in big city traffic. This mutant does not. Unlike Herb and Jim - we have cast our vote with our feet and wheels - you can have DFW - and it's highway system... we are riding the rural rainbow every chance we get.

By the way - once you hit 20 - out of Weatherford you should be good to go... pretty much nuthin but net to El Paso as I recall.

On edit - you now have Di Joining with Jim and Herb on the 35 / 635 / 20 route so go for it. What do these three have in common. A Stick and Brick. LOL

We are in El Paso for the week. But you do not want to mini c with us. Larry has a terrible cold which i am getting over Lol. Darn. But you sure dont want to take that as a turkey day present
I agree with Herbs route.

Nothing but net to El Paso. But watch your fuel. Those stops are really stretched out here.

Me and my family of eight should be classified as RV Mutants and so wish to be.

Even though we have a diesel pusher which would be considered a middle class RV there are still things that we do not currently have like:

TPMS, integrated smartphone monitoring system, bathtub, hottub, second bathroom, large enough kitchen sink, tankless hot water heater, heated tile floors, air bladder slide seals, two master bedroom slides, and extra freezer.

So we are not really roughing it, but we are doing without from when we lived in our house. But we do not miss any of the above and enjoy our nomadic lifestyle very much. We would have it no other way and do not ever plan on living in a house again.

So I feel like we are RV Mutants and would like to join this group.

Thanks!
Don

Huh? You mean the term "rack hunt" I heard back in college was not deer hunter lingo?

Hello Don!
You have officially met 1/2 of the qualifications for becoming an RV Mutant! Just answer this question:
Is the Journey Your Destination?
If you can give us a yes or a yep or an uhuh or an OH YEAH, you will officially be RVM101, with all associated rights and privledges!
So answer-up. There is plenty of room on the Rainbow
Dave

I see that Dave - the Grand Poobah of the RVMdom had welcomed you and offered the final guidance in becoming a mutant. Good luck figuring out the answer...

Please tell us more... about 6 kids. We have plenty of mutants with kids - and some full time - but I'm not sure about this - but you may be first to be full time with kids. Crowded Camper was partly full time... Hmmm.

Tell us more.

We have said goodbye to Sue and Martin - and they are preparing to roll out of Rockport. Annie has wiped away her tears and now the work begins. But I may need a nap first.

Where in AR are you, we lived in Little Rock for 12 yrs, then moved to OK (but worked in Fort Smith) If any of you like to fish we have a boat on Lake Taneycomo and would be happy to take you out. Our friend owns a resort/RV park on Taneycomo so I might be able to get a discount for you guys!
Sold my wheel and slab roller, will be selling my kiln...trying to downsize before hubby retires in 3.5 yrs.

R U an RV Mutant too?

Hiya, rakuwoman! There are certainly fisherfolk amongst us, although I'm not one of 'em. Tim, aka huntnski, is a Hot Springs guy, and Di, aka diwizi, is from LR. Plenty of locals for you to mini-c* with. A bunch of us, you may already know, will be at Catherine's Landing in April, holding a midi-c*. You are, of course, invited!

Herb? Tell all again re: CL Redux.

Are you getting out of the clay business for good? Good memories, I hope! I'd take a look at that kiln myself (mostly for DH), but carryin' that sucker would be a bear, and shipping worse. Good luck in your sale. Would you share a pic or 2 of your favorite pieces?

Cheers!
Sue
