We drove down to Navarre to see their sugar-sand beach as suggested, not expecting much. We aren't beach people, really. Wound up enjoying it even though we don't swim.
Then lunch at Rocco's, authentically Italian. I know: I met Rocco. It was a really good meal of cannelloni for M. and a Caprese salad for me.
No pics. No calories, then, eh?
On our way now to meet up with Mike and Harriet. Pics later. 😊

Eye update
Spent 4 hours at Midwest Eye Institute. Checked in. Waited 30 minutes. Exam by medtech. Waited 45 minuted. Exam by retina specialist. Right eye with laser welds (Monday) looks great (dodged the detached retina successfully). Left eye with detached retina treated with gas bubble (Monday). It's ready for laser "welds". Waited 30 minutes. Retina permanently reattached with kinda painful laser "welds" That procedure lasted for 1 1/2 - 2 minutes. Straight into the eye. No numbing gel this time.
I see the specialist again on December 22. He expects no ill effects and no restrictions and a return of my "normal" vision.
Thanx to my fellow mutants for the healing ohms, my church's prayer chain for their prayers, and the skill and knowledge to do the job right. Praise the Lord.
BTW, checking the right eye on Monday by the specialist was done "while we're looking at the left eye we might as well check the right eye" (my doctor examined my right eye and did not put it on the "to look at list" for the retina specialist). Two or three tears in my right eye missed by my eye doctor. HMMMMMM.
Anyway, I feel blessed.

Papa Steve,
Great news! Now just stop with the "eye ball liberty." Focus on not tripping over the coffee table.
