Wayne - me and my flip phone are doing just fine. The flip phone receives phone calls. I am able to answer those calls 1) if I'm in the car where the phone is left hanging 95% of the time, and 2) if the battery hasn't gone dead.

My OnStar car phone - - well, my wife, kids, brothers and sisters have the number for it. Also whoever writes the number down when I call them from it.

I lived for 50+ years NOT being instantly available for the world. I don't feel that I missed any major events that couldn't wait for later notification.

My DW says that FB helps us keep track of some relatives who don't have the decency to get in touch with us by other means or come visit (families of nieces/nephews etc.).

Fuddy duddy I know but I find it makes life simpler.

Happy Birthday Sue. BTW, mine is 6/5/???? and DW is 4/10/????

Travel easy everyone. Healing ohms to those who need them.

Steve... sounds like you need to get a horse drawn motor home to go with that flip phone. Maybe convert to gas lighting in the S&B. :what:

Good morning mutants - mutating, mutated, or soon to be mutating.

I think Tim is exhibiting the fine qualities of Activity Coordinator for The GC@CL 1.2 Redux and co-chair coordinator with MPH... anyone care to second this nomination...

We are having another great day on the rainbow. Hope you are too.

Anyone have any ponders to share.

^^^ Oh what the hey...

Ponder this...
Once We Believe In Ourselves

Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit - E. E. Cummings

Do you believe?

I'm with Papaw Steve on flip phones and the need to be instantly available. When I was employed as a personal assistant by a woman who expected me to be immediately available 24/7/365 I always had a fully charged cell phone in my pocket, but that phone was paid for by her company.

It has taken me a few years to get out of that mindset, but I do still carry a cell phone in my pocket when away from home as a safety item. Even though I hate to admit it, I am looking into going back to an iPhone.

This is not because I want to read email or post to this list via cell phone. It's because they have nothing that Sena can disassemble. She stole another phone out of my pocket when I fell asleep. Only 1 week old, that is the last flip phone I will buy.
BTW I'm looking at buying a reconditioned iPhone 5, not a 6
plus.

Sena has given up trying to steal my iPad. It's just not any fun for her to play with. It doesn't have any moving or removable parts. That's what I need in a phone.
