I was up at 6am and made coffee, had to get ready for the day, well kind of, just cause I'm awake and watching the news and drinking coffee doesn't mean I'm ready to go somewhere, ....... lol .......

Yup....not sure what to do with a frozen worm though. Maybe I'll wait for a bird to get up.

I'm always ready to go somewhere other than w--k!

I may not have a driving trip south this winter, but I'm counting the days till I take my wife to Maui in Feb. for Valentines. 2 full weeks at a house right on the ocean.

I looked at the Discovery in Lubbock. It's a big NO. One of the bay doors is thrashed and would need to be replaced, and the bay door just next to it is damaged in the lower right corner. $$$ The super-slide awning needs to be replaced. The aluminum trim on one side of the slide has a small spot that is bent; not real badly, but I don't like it. Inside: needs new flooring. Needs a MAJOR cleaning. So, no.

Go figure why someone would advertise a coach to sell and then not even clean it up for showing???

At any rate, the owner of the coach that Wayne & Earlene looked at called me today. I will PM you about it.

I think rather than go to Ft. Worth with Kate this weekend, I'll head down the other direction and take a look at that coach. The one Herb & Barb looked at in Ft. Worth needs 6 new tires now. The other coach needs 2 now, and the other 4 replaced over the next 1-2 years, Wayne tells me (and I certainly trust his judgment).

We're getting close, I think.

Hi.

We are thinking about making the trip to Texas to look at the 1997 Monaco Windsor you mentioned in one of your posts. Our budget is identical to what yours was...by the way congrats on finding your coach! Wondering if you looked the the Windsor personally or anyone else from this forum have advice on it. We've tried to look through the MANY posts and find out info...but there are SO many! Awesome that this forum is here. Thanks for you time.

news flash we have been full time for almost 4 years. and we have decided to park our wheels for a little while. we are coming off the road. we now have a 2 bedroom 2 bath house on 24ac. where it is will not be posted on the internet but our close friends will know. it also has a spot for a extra rv so people can stop by and visit. I hope to get internet there but not sure if I can. it is in the middle of no where.

Hello Bill,

You may wish to try to pm MPH aka Mel and perhaps she could tell you.

On the other hand if you want varied opinions you can just ask this group,

But first you should consider joining, the rigorous requirements is to tell us something you don't have and don't miss, and the second, is to declare that " The Journey is the Destination " and you could be the next RVM which means rv mutant.

I know you can pass the test, are you willing to join this august group ?

Cheers !!!!

I've just found a neat way of getting the windshield cleaned

For those interested in numbers : without insurance $3,600. With insurance $0. They also fixed for free a small chip in the Jeep windshield that was threatening to spread.

Cleanest it will ever be. And no deductible!

yes... Bill, it appears you may have read quite a bit of this thread already if you know about Mel and her adventures finding the perfect rainbow rider..... so you must know what a special group of folks we are! Do ya not fit in with the 'other' mentality and find that you enjoy the trip{ process} as much as the destination, do you not have things you don't miss... motorhome/camper is not required to be a part of our group.... your interest in one kinda sortof is....
