Okay, help me out here. I've got to ask. Why is it necessary for the visitors to wear hair nets out in an open fields? Never saw that site in the growing fields of the Midwest. Just how do they convince the local birds to fly over the entire territory with Pampers on? Can we say "overkill" regulations from some government agency?
It's always good for people to know that their food on the table is there because someone worked really hard to put it there. We are blessed with our dependable food sources.
|
Yes the regulations are made by really dumb people. A farmer acquaintance down near Victoria was threatened with losing his ability to sell his vegetable crops to the local grocery chains because his pickers had too far to walk to get to the washrooms he provided so he now has to have porta-potties delivered to the fields daily and one for every three rows so the workers can hygienically go about their potty business in good health. I guess hiding behind a pea tree is no longer politically correct.
How is it we get so many idiots in places that can dream up dumb rules and regulations???

Wayne I talked to Mel a couple weeks ago. She said the rainbow rider was fine and in storage while she healed from knee surgery. She and Kate drove their car up to their cabin in Ruidoso.

It sounds like the porta potty industry has some really good lobbyists that made sure some legislation would make them rich. Greed is a terrible thing.

Yuma is the veggie capital of the world

I'll say one thing, and that's after watching them crop dust almost every night in Yuma, I will definitely be washing my veggies better. It was fun to watch though.

R U an RV Mutant too?
K. Here we go kids.....
The Yuma farmers farm according to the very toughest requirements by the place that most of the veggies are sent. I'll let y'all figger it out.
That way they can ship them anywhere.
Now, on with RVMness and silly stuff?

BTW, we rode on a Prevost M3-45, and the driver fought the wheel a lot. Bad wandering!
And on another note

Went to the big Quartzsite RV show yesterday. Lots of folks there more than willing to take all your money for stuff that we Mutants know we do not need!
I did look at a Pinnacle 5er by Jayco. About 42 feet long with 5 slides. It was listed for $110,000 which I'm sure is a great bargain. I do not think my Duramax 3500 dually would be able to tow it (or stop it). Gotta admit - it was beautiful.
DW and I (and two other couples) intend to go to the Good Sam Rally in Phoenix Feb. 26. Should be tons of stuff for sale at a GREAT price that we do not need. Still and all, one must look.
To me its like a married man looking at girls - can't afford the one I have but she allows me to look and does not laugh at me. That is true love.

Hay Steve and Annie - hows tricks? You guys still in Arizona? We are still in Tonopah but may not come here next year. There is a new chicken/egg farm close by and boy, does it ever smell.
May look at something in Bullhead City.

We're in the Rio Grande Valley. Next year Az... but no chicken farms. I have a cousin lives near Bullhead City.
I've been meaning to give you a call... but keep getting distracted by one shiny object or another.

Hey..... It was worth a shot. And you know that rate won't be low like that for long. Someone down here will mess it up and it will be back.
