But then again - nothing says Texans need to roll in together. And we had Don and Sandee and Jeff and Marcia in the contingent (both SD residents) in the pack. We may be the SD representatives in the Tx contingent this year.
Mini-c notwithstanding, my point was that we haven't firmed up our plan for traveling to CL, and I don't want our lack of planning to hold up anyone else. We'll just have to slink into the campground without a parade.

I need Aug to early Sept but what kind of $ we talking!

But if we don't do it - the odds of making Utah or Idaho a Fall into Curiosity become slim.

Dave and I talked today, and Jeff and I talked yesterday. I have pretty much concluded that Utah is the place to be. After looking at the map of Utah Annie and feel like there is a lot to see there and we would want to give it a month or more. We would then approach AZ via Colorado and New Mexico.

So let's get this going. Utah in August - please use the Contact Us form on the website to forward place and dates in Utah for August 1 to as late as the first week of September. We can make it happen with minimal planning if we work together.

I loaded this book up on my Kindle App today and will be leisurely flipping the through it the next few days. I will also be looking for The best REAL Jeep to rent for a few days! Will ask if they rent iPhones too so I can see how the other side lives. :sly::what:

http://www.rvmutants.com/contact-us.html

Yippee - we have the makings of plan.

Which book? You didnt say........

Utah in August could be hot, or not.... I really thought we were going for fall, like in AFTER kids are back in school.....
I would much rather a date in September, kinda like Barb mentioned.....
i was not impressed with Salt Lake City area at all.......

But I am just one...
And while I was one of the mutants pushing for plans and a date.

That is no longer on our planning agenda.....
We are in a waiting pattern on a replacement of the ICD that larry wears inside his chest.
We have been informed the battery is almost out, BUT they (medicare) will not pay for the replacement until the alarm on it beeps... So for now, there is NO plan in our travel future much further than CL......

But being an optimist, i am hoping for a September date somewhere in southeastern Utah or southwestern Colorado....

+1 on the "kids in school" thing. Utah in early September sounds like a winner to me.

I was just about to text you about Larry... Thanks for the update and we have you and Larry on the Ommms list.

Forgot to attach the pic of the book. It is largely souther Utah.

We aren't suggesting Salt Lake just that we will drop into the state from the north (moving that direction from Sioux Falls) and work our way south over a month or so. I checked Bryce weather in August and the average high temp was 81. And it seemed reasonable to me. And there is so much to see and do.

I talked to Possum today and Southern Utah is within his distance limits.

I knew you didn't want to go to Idaho so in looking at the suggestions I had - and after talking with others it seemed Utah was high on the list.

So as I await input from the Contact Us list and read up I will be able to Guage our time a bit better and Annie can scout our adventures.

I have not been to Zion or Bryce yet so the area would work for us.

In 1998 we had a 1998 Pontiac Gran Prix and went from Arizona into Utah and stopped in Moab because it was on the way it was incredible. We want to go back back.

Cheers !!!

We need to crank up the mini-C plans. Maybe we could meet up in Kemah or somewhere in a couple of weeks.
