Is there a weight limit on those horses. I couldn't take the donkey ride into the canyon. Hmmm! Might be telling me something.

It would have been nice to put faces to the names of my fellow Mutants and enjoy endless guffaws at the many strange antics that no doubt will transpire.

Reluctantly, we will have to live vicariously through your adventures yet again.

Thank you for your considerations regarding timelines in our favour.

Les, this year it is a west coast trip, but August is my son's retirement ceremony in CA so we'll miss the great gathering. However, we plan on tripping on up to the border with Canada. Might be a mini-c somewhere along that way. No definite plans, but if we get close, who knows what can happen.

My philosophy of full timing is to be where I can wear shorts and short sleeves 80% of the time and only need air conditioning 2% or less. I'm lucky to have friends and family all over the country. We stay on their property most of the time and boondock while traveling. Campgrounds don't work well with yappy Lily who barks at every noise and Sena who knows how to open RV screen doors so she can steal goodies.
That sounds like a great philosophy. We'll follow that same plan with regard to being where it's warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, but in December, we want to be in the Hill Country so we can have Christmas with our sweet Gwen. You can understand why ....

Steve, sorry I missed your call earlier. We were watching a movie at the time and I didn't hear my phone. Check y'all Saturday or Sunday.

Wayne,

The trail ride I did has a 220# limit

Bryce Canyon Horseback Riding | Bryce Canyon Mule Rides Canyon Trail Rides

There are several other trail rides. One might be higher. As Possum used to say -- Google is your friend.

Not sure of brand, it was at Bass Pro. Son and DIL saw me checking out the one her dad has when we were at his house. He has always been a big smoker, having two large smokers in back yard and often cooking for various events . I was really surprised to find that he had gone to using something so easy. He said he got it to use at his houseboat and it's so easy, he now uses it all the time.

With my birthday coming up in April I know son was thinking that might be a good gift. My concern is fitting it in one of the basement bays on The Discovery.

I'm not a big griller, smoker or even a fryer, but if easy enough I'll do it!
