I have a question about Yahoo Groups. I have never used this site before so I'm trying to figure it out. I got my invite the other day so went today to the page and created a username and password. When I get to the page it tells me I am already a member of the mailing list of the group but when I click on the "conversations" it tells me "oops you need to be a member". Is that because I had to use a different username than what I use on the iRV2 site? Do I need to click on the "Join Group" too and fill out that form? Thanks.

Deb someone will come along and answer your question. I don't know how I got on it, I don't know whom I'm talking to on it half the time and I really can't answer your question but someone can!

Two things this group does well is talk and eat! Well, yay!!! Kate loves to talk about deep things and she is a great listener. I give her plenty of things to listen to, but it's all pretty shallow. Maybe she can philosophize with Sue and Steve and Dave and all the intellectuals.
I will have a organized Cow Chip Tossing contest, bring your own gloves, a bean bag or washer toss and one yet to be announced event to make up the triathlon events. Some of the things I was considering for the third event was the 5 mile run, mile swim, kayak relay or weight lifting and push-up combine.
|
Thanks for all this organizing, Tim.
I'll be in the grandstands watching Sue beat everyone in the Kayak race. I might run 5 miles ... if you give me about 3 weeks. Beware: Kate & I won a cow chip toss about 15 years ago.
Oh, and there's Farkle. Kate hates it, I love it! Any Farkle players in the group?
Gotta get back to wrrr... worrrrr ... wuh ... wuhrrrrrr ... k

I know I should put this kind of thing on the Yahoo group site, but I just can't get the hang of how it works. It doesn't seem to be very user friendly. (Or maybe this user just isn't very savvy.)
At any rate, we hope some folks will bring their favorite games to play. I envision a Canasta (or whatever) tournament, with games going at 2 or 3 tables. Do we need to bring card tables? No problem to throw in our card table.

Mel--games are not my thang, but my hubby plays poker, dominoes, and strategy games like Risk so he will be interested.

Aw.. we have Spicy Farkel! We also like to play, Left Center Right and do so with nickels. I usually lose more nickels than I win.

Lol I just realized the Mutant Community Theater was doing Steel Magnolia. Following my Driver Improvement Seminar this clip of Fried Green Tomatoes may be performed. Especially if all dem Texans roll in together like they did last year! Without Skyboss keeping them in line it may get plum dangerous. At least their older, and have more insurance!
