Next stop - Bryce Cannon August 15th... but first...

GC1.2 Redux starts Wednesday with Wine and Cheese

Thursday - the grand welcome and intros... including the Opening of the Kimono.

Friday - Some great exciting fun and games - some dinner cruise if weather permits... some dine out.

Saturday - Luau with Hawaiian smoked pork butts... and the Paul Byrd band... special opening act!!!!

Sunday - the Mutant Meditation - Devotional etc followed by the Second Ever RVM Bloody Mary Bash...

And so much more... including prizes... none of which and all combined don't meet IRS 1099 reporting requirements... but it's the spirt of adventure and thought that counts...

Oh oh... the silent auction is Friday as I recall... items donated to silent auction are earmarked to support the arts - ie... bay the band. They also accept tips...

The rain she is falling.

Steve, Steve, Steve, the one thing that may save your life and you failed to mention it! The Seminar that will drive home the safe and effective driving habits of mutants! What else but the "Driver Improvment Seminar" 11am Sunday morning. After learning the specifics of safe RVing and the short comings of some of the mutant drivers one will either be ready for mutant meditation or a Bloody Mary or Both!

Come one come all!

Sounds like the Atkins diet. It works, but be careful - you do need a certain amount if fat grams each day.

We arrived Cartage, TX almost without incident. I still think the Dash AC is not up-to-snuff. Time will tell. I don't want to speak to soon about the jacks.

We're sitting on the launch pad 45 minutes from the S & B (our seasonal CG).

We launch early tomorrow morning. We'll take a leisurely hike on the surface streets down as far as Jonesboro, AR. We will then have about 4 hours of driving to roll into CL on Wednesday.

Looks like some are already starting the party without us. We're chomping at the bit to exchange "war stories" with the gang. Lots of wonderful things have happened since the last GC@CL.

Liquid sunshine seems to be our environment under the pavilion roof. We hope that it's just rain and not a typhoon. We can shift from area to area in the pavilion to avoid the rain splatters.

Come on down papa Steve, the rain is going to be scattered showers, no problem. Bring your umbrella or raincoat to get yourself under pavillion then we should be good.

If anyone that is still at home has a tarp they can fold up and bring just in case we need to shield the band, please do.
Hot as this band is if rain hits them it might create a steam problem!

By Thursday opening ceremony we should all be here and full fledge mutation going on!

We made it as far as Olive Branch, MS. Google says we have 210 miles left until we hit CL, but Google's accuracy has been somewhat questionable today.

Tim, I parked at Lowe's tonight. What size tarp should I pick up? I've got a small one onboard -- 6x9 I think -- but will gladly invest in a larger one if needed. I think I owe them a sale for all the free wifi I've used.

Barb don't buy one, just bring what you got, may not need it at all!

Slow and easy through Memphis. We follow I-55 across the river, Regardless of which bridge you cross once in AR where the two interstates merge the road narrows for a ways. Drive safe!

That just shows you, you don't have to have a pavillion to have a good time!

Now a donkey might add some excitement !
