Hey all !!!

Yeah We were going to try to mini-c in Santa Rosa but we were actually 24 hours to early. We would have enjoyed it immensely. On the way in we passed two huge stockyards and the ummmm country air was a tad thick, thankfully here at Corral RV Park that is but a distant memory. Tomorrow onward to the Wizard of Oz museum in Liberal, KS. Then Boot Hill Casino in Dodge City, KS.

Cheers !!!!

RV Repair Update

Today I spent my afternoon fixing the one last item from the Hail of a Curiosity…Installed the Lexan smoked skylight above the shower. Now the roof is back to the way it was prior to the storm.

Looks great. I still need my slide toppers replaced. Come on out to Iowa.

Well..... One repair done...... Larry ordered a new hood for our jeep online. Had it painted and shipped to us... Major problem taking the old one off was the stupid original hinge was painted AFTER installation... When he figured that out and got it off, we discovered that underneath was RAW metal, not even primed...... Oh well.... Worked well enough.. Got really good money for it on trade in on my new jeep.... Which is on its way here tomorrow.... Yippee, got a new 4 door.... Copper brown.... Beautiful....
NOT A RUBI..... Got a sahara....

Thanks Ed and Jackie... For letting me test drive yours.... Will post a pic when I get it.....

Today was a bit windy in Amana. But all and all a nice day. The last of the Fly Ball dogs and their humans pulled out of the park. About 70 Mini-Winnies are due in over the next day or two. That should be fun to watch.

The view of farm country from the picnic table this afternoon..

If I knew how I'd help. I noticed mine are getting a bit aged and will likely learn how in the not too distant future.

I think I had withdrawal from this thread while Barb and I were mini-c'ing at Palo Duro Canyon. It was a great time, as she posted a page or two back.

My sis & BIL fell in love with Barb, Sena and Lily. When Sena smeared a tiny little gift from her diaper on my BIL's hand, I wondered how he'd react, but he took it in stride! I told him she was marking him to claim him. LOL. She apparently had a crush on him. But she was taken with my sister, too, and carried on quite a lengthy conversation with Ruth. I video taped some of it.

I swear, Barb can't go anywhere without getting stopped by 10 people wanting to see, pet and take pictures of Sena. Barb was so patient with everyone and answered the same questions over and over for different people the entire time we were at Palo Duro.

When you hang out with Barb, Sena and Lily, you're with celebrities. Lily may not get the attention Sena garners, but she is a little trooper and very self-assured. If Kate had been with us this weekend, she would have come away from that mini-c wanting to find a dog just like Lily for us to adopt.

If any of you Mutants think you might come to the Palo Duro this summer to see the outdoor musical drama TEXAS!, let us know and maybe we can make it a mini or midi. That show is WELL worth the trip. And after such a wet spring, the canyon is just beautiful this year. Barb and I saw a profusion of wildflowers, which my BIL could identify by name. (He's got a Masters' degree in horticulture.)

My phone has a problem ... it's saying that it needs "activation." I guess it was searching for a signal all weekend and finally gave up and lost service altogether. I'll go by Verizon tomorrow and get it fixed. Then I can post all these pictures I took while we were at Palo Duro.

Congrats on the new Jeep, Di! We'll be looking for our toad this summer. Won't be a new Jeep, but we'll find something that'll work for us. Kate will be driving it for work (30-75 miles a day ... ugh) till we hit the road in April.

Time to go back 10 or 12 pages and start catching up.

I had our toppers replaced about a year ago - so they were basically brand new... I can tell you this - it's not that expensive to have it done - and it's a 2 person job lol... 1 up and at least 1 down...

As for Arkansas scarecrow - it's the one on the left...

I carry a picture of it around just to show folks up north what goes on down there! I think it scares them and they may never visit your state!
