Some of you know that I have a very dear friend that has been battling C for over 8 years. Sunday he passed away! He is a very liked man in many circles, church, work and he ran one of the largest and oldest bass fishing tournaments in the state. I was fortunate to have had him for a close friend, buddy, hunting and fishing partner and already miss him dearly.
Now the reason for the post, he had always said he wanted his funeral to be a party. His wife text me the details of his memorial service to spread among friends.
1. No black clothes!
2. Attendees to wear Hawaiian shirts or beach attire or fishing tournament shirts.
3. Shorts and flip-flops acceptable.
4. Come to visitation with your best Ronnie story.
This is what he wanted, he had told me that many times. Would you really expect much different from one of my close friends? Lol
I was ask to accompany him to some of his Dr visits and was there when he got the news the C had returned. He was concerned about loosing his hair, i, on the other hand, haven't cut mine since that day. Loosing a good friend is the pits.
But I do know what I'll be wearing! ON EDIT I REALIZED IT MIGHT APPEAR I WAS REFERING TO WAYNE, IM NOT. WAYNE IS FINE, WELL NORMAL, NO TYPICAL!

Howdy everyone! I'm trying to ketchup but it's a losing battle with the mutant posts. Lemme see... Dwayne, sorry about your troubles and I hope things look up soon. Di, great looking new Jeep! Jay and Andrea--woo hooo!!! Great looking Airstream!! Congrats. Steve, I hope your cold is better. Sorry you are having a winter morning. I hope Annie's dad continues to improve. Sue and Martin--glad to hear things are settling down and I hope your repairs go smoothly. Dave--how's the foot? Barb--congrats on 4 years!! Glad you had a fun meetup with Mel & family. Mel, I love Palo Duro but haven't been in years; need to put it back on "the List." Marty--congrats to your son and his new bride! Wayne, how's Earlene doing? And Miya? Lemme know if I need to make a run down to Tx Cty to help out. (And you forgot the Patriot Riders in your glowing biker review. ) Tim, my condolences on the loss of your friend. :(
OK, my brain capacity has exceeded its limit. I need to review and see who/what I left out. I hope all the RVMs are doing great today.
We just got home from a week at Rising Star COE near Pine Bluff AR. I highly recommend it as a quiet getaway. As Di said, not a tourist haven but lots of beautiful campsites and good fishin'. Main drawback was that there is only a dump station; no sewer hookups at each site. 50 amp service and water was available, though...as were numerous water moccasins and VERY high water in the Arkansas River. Here's a sunset from out our front door...

Sarah, Earlene and Miya are healing. Earlene has to be healing because she is back to her old......never mind. Hey, you don't need an excuse to come down and visit. We are home awaiting Citrus's release from the RV Hospital. You lucky Devil's you, missing that hail storm in Hot Springs.
In my old life, I road with the Patriot Guard Riders. I can tell you a story or two about those days.

It's not mutant...it's just a texting type of shorthand....

Tim, Denise and I send our deepest condolences on your loss. It's hard to lose a good buddy.
Wayne,
Your Patriot Guard is a great organization. A couple years back DW and I got to watch their flag placing memorial Day Weekend at the veterans area of the Dunkirk Cemetery when we were there with our friends remembering her father, a deceased Naval Seaman. The PG were amazing the way they honoured their fallen comrades.
