About the attractions in 50 states post -- I lived in Oklahoma for 22 years and had never heard of the Platt Historic District. I had to go look it up on Google and I have some other things I would suggest you see first.
In Oklahoma City --
for a very moving experience

If you are into westerns and cowboys
National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum
Wait a minute, this could take all night. When I go to a new area I find neat things to do and see on Tripadvisor.com Just ignore all the hotel rooms they want you to book and click on "things to do." Real people rate each attraction and I've found them to be accurate.
Here's what all they say about my former home town --

Hi Colleen and Mr Malone and that other guy! Come on Bryce!
The list of 50 stops in 50 states is questionable ! Not sure if I only had one stop in AR it would be Toltec Mounds. Just saying!
|
Same with the Mark Twain House in CT. I live just down the road a few miles from there and I'll tell ya, you wouldn't want to be driving your RV anywhere near that place, really tight roads. Might be interesting but be sure to leave your RV at the CG.

I agree. I was expecting to see more national parks and stuff on the list. We loved seeing the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde NP in Colorado.

I felt the same about Idaho. There is so much to see and do that to just put one place on the list seams crazy. It all depends on what ones interest is - historical sites, scenery, fishing, hunting, skiing, dune buggies, climb mountains, hiking to lakes, white water rafting, museums, ghost towns, panning for gold and the list goes on.

back on the rice pasta... I've tried several other brands, but keep coming back to the tinkyada... it has more mouth appeal, and is more flavored like regular Semolina pastas....I really don't like the corn, flax, and quinoa pastas, although I like quinoa, flax, and corn separately... just not in a pasta.

It does help to have a local host, so to speak, to point you toward the most interesting places.

Woot woot on the recovery of yer truck! It's a dang shame about the MH insurance dropping the ball, though! Pretty poor performance, I'd say!
This thing is really dragging out for some of us, isn't it? We don't have the Cherokee back yet, and Bella isn't even scheduled in until September!
As for 50 stops in 50 states, that was a graduate student project, a fella who developed this algorithm to plot out such a route. I'm sure the mutants, w/ all their combined wisdom can come up w/ a much more inclusive, interesting, quirky, and exciting loop around the country!
