Healing Ommmmms to Sandee. Shoulder surgery is tough (been there, done that with right rotator cuff), but TLC will help. You'll be her prince all over again.

Dwayne and Shara, so sorry to hear about your loss. Healing ommmmmms for your hearts.

Herb and Barb, hope y'all are stayin' high and dry! Well, at least dry.

Wayne, I guess our plan won't work. My surgeon told me he won't operate on me anywhere but here. I told him he was a party pooper.

My sis and BIL are down in FL today, checking out a 2008 Itasca Ellipse. I believe it's 40' and has the basement air. Apparently it only has 15,000 miles on it, so it probably needs tires and diesel maintenance. What's your take on the basement air?
Don't really know. Drove past where it is today and it was under there canopy all masked up for painting.

Our basement air has worked well for us, although I am concerned that it may go out someday and replacement is not going to be easy. Coleman no longer supports the product but I have read there is another company with a direct replacement. Time will tell.

Was that rotators cuff surgery? Is physical therapy in the prescription?

Darn! My doctor is the same way. Must be a pride thing. The doctor I am using has done both knee ACL reconstructions, both rotators cuff repairs, and replaced the right knee. Next will be the left knee. I keep telling him I'm tired of supporting him, his wife and his 8 kids.

Wish we could just get our health care to actually work. Have torn rotators and have been on a waiting list just to get to see the specialist for over a year. Friday they will again attempt to do the cortisone shots thing to make the pain go away for a while.

OTOH...LOL...some of us learned to dislike it. We had a 39' Winnebago Adventurer. Did everything we could with it and often couldn't keep the coach temps below 80* on a hot summer day.

Well now, I heard people say that socialized medicine is great. What gives? Isn't CA on that particular plan?

Uh, Wayne, if you let him operate on you very many more times, there won't be any of you left. You know he won't stop until you look like Frankenstein's monster. (In a tutu, of course, you wouldn't be so scary.)

Sandee's surgery turned out to be fairly minimal. They cleaned out some slightly worn cartilage and smoothed out a couple slightly arthritic bone surfaces. No rips or tears required repairing.

I got Earlene's FB message on the PF and will pass that on to Sandee. It could mean more surgery for her.

Yep. Cold travels down and heat rises. I don't understand why they got the idea to put cold AC in basements. Makes more sense to me that heat is in the basement and cold air ducted from up top. I'll ask my nephew. He's an engineer.

Ours is called Medicare. But I think it works better than what Dennis has "up North."

Hi Ginny!

We will be spending two nights in Pueblo and 3 in Gunnison on our way to Vegas. We'll give a mutant yell when we're nearby. Assuming I'm right in your journey direction.

Sorry for getting back so late. The wifi has been out and phone service in and out. I'm in Gunnison. Give me a yell when you come through.

Thanks, guys. My sis called to say they ditched the Itasca and bought a new Tiffin Allegro. Another of those "we went to buy that one and ended up with this one" stories.

That was my thinking, too. I believe Winnebago has moved away from the basement air, though.

And in the "was my face red" department... on our last trip I couldn't figure out why the air conditioner wasn't cooling very well. I guess having the fantastic fan on full speed right next to the a/c vent wasn't such a great idea. (Except for the squirrels on the roof.)

Glad everything went well. Prayers sent for fast recovery.

Yes, the shoulder thing has been long time in the making. Next is the probability she will be in some kind of waking boot for her planter fasciitis. That is also a long running problem.
Glad she is home.
