Not to fret, you are about to mix into a crowd that is challenged on many subjects !!

Hey, think about it ... a phone is supposed to be for "Hello, and Goodbye" with a few words between. That's all that is needed as far as I'm concerned. My little flip phone does that just fine, and it has a keen memory thing for holding the numbers for up to ten of my friends. Haven't filled up that feature yet though, but near half way.

Oh before I forget, phone (contact) the head muckety muck here in this thread for last minute instructions on how to get the official "join up". I think I have a photo of him here somewhere in my files, so you will recognizatate him. I shall post it :

R U an RV Mutant too?

My dear RV Mutants, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce that an icon of RVMdom and of lawn decorators in plaid shorts all over the world, has passed on.
Donald Featherstone, the creator of the pink plastic flamingo has died.
http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-w...ntent=20150623
With the power in my right index finger, I officially decree that Donald should have an honorary place in the RVM Roster as RVM Pink.
What say one. What say you all.

I concur. Entered into the official records - Donald Featherstone, creator of the pink flamingo - Honary Member, on the news of his passing.

When I was kid my maternal grandmother once told me that when pink Flamingos got married the first thing they did after the honeymoon was to go out and uy litgtle plastic statues of Italians to decorate their nesting areas with.

He enjoyed making things that made people happy, that's what his life was about.
So says the news I read about him.

Donut holes are great, but of course you have to eat through the donut to get to them.

I haven't checked your link yet, but would that be Linmouth and Lynton? The funicular? Neat place!

I hadn't realized you were a Limey too, as DH is. He's a north Londoner by birth, but lived in Henley on Thames for many years and then in the West Country near Bath. You?

Rocker? What rocker? Did I ever have one? Was I ever actually on it? Pffft!

We've just had the best time with your link, playing with the maps and so on. Indeed, we will be spending several days near enough that we might be able to take a day trip to ride the L&B. What fun! Thank you again!

Questions welcomed, RVMs.
How do you like it so far?
Dave

Never saw a lithophane before. How was it made, I wonder. Nice pics, as always!

I love to park for awhile and get to know the area and the other RVers, but then there is the need to be out on the road and see what's out there. I love to stop and support local craftspersons and produce stands, too.

I'm usually happy wherever my journey finds me to be and I find a way to make it work.

My destination is the journey.
