The rest of the world has Lumberjacks, on the Island we have Fallers. Lumberjacks are great at dropping trees willy nilly all over the landscape. A Faller places the tree where he wants it to go.
This guy is really really good at his job.

Tomorrow the mutant second will take place. If you can get a picture of it please post it here. They're very rare and equally as shy. Good luck catching it.

To the rest of the world, the leap second is being added to the atomic clock to account for earth's rotation. But mutants know that it's really added to keep the inner and outer rainbows aligned so that those making the jump to full time - can arrive at the outer rainbow without skipping a beat.

"Not everyone recognizes the leap second, although Apple does so on its devices. Google mobile devices sync with internet time services that are usually tied to atomic clocks. But "if you have a standard Windows system, [it] just ignores the leap second," Levine says."

The mutant second can cause problems for non-mutants, but it is a necessary calibration in order to maintain the balance of the rainbows and ensure that the Journey is the Destination.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Workshop pics too. I thrive on watching someone else work. Matter of fact I have a chaise lounge dedicated for the purpose of watching others work.

Wayne takes pics of Dear Earlene cleaning the RV roof. Don't know what his observation tool kit contains. I suspect a recliner and mini-fridge

His libations fridge is far from being a mini.

The truth is Earlene bought it for him.

Keeps him from attempting to help out with projects he knows nothing about.

Yep, probably has all the correct equipment for watching work in progress. Likely in his early career he wore out a few shovel handles from leaning on them.

We like to pick on Wayne when he is not able to respond. It's fun! But he is a good party starter. His Wal-Mart attire holds the record for "... hey look at that guy, get the camera".

So when Wayne reads this I'll be at an undisclosed location, no phone, no way to find me.

Slow day so here is my:

Ultimate irony story ...

I have a friend who recently purchased a new Toyota Camry for his daughter. He is now bragging that it is the "most made in America car" available. It has a whopping 75% domestic parts content. More than anything with the old-line big three automaker's badges.

Being rather proud of his purchase, he wanted to rub salt into the wound of us who think we are driving around in domestically correct vehicles. My friend went on line to look for snazzy reflective stickers with the wording ... "Proudly Made in America". He ordered 'em. The stickers are ... made in China !!

Just had to toss this out as a sort of thought for the day (or 21st century).
