Geesshhh Les, sorry to read you are having so much trouble,

Between you Dwayne and Wayne y'all could open your own repair shop.

Sending oooommmsss to those that need them.

Not to worry about us just yet as the fires are all several miles from us and two of them are on the other side of the mountain range. The good news is we have been having a beautiful summer but the bad news is we have been having a beautiful summer. It hasn't rained here since early April and everything is tinder dry.

The rally bad news is the place we made reservations at for next week is also surrounded by forest fires and we may be not able to go there either.

Sad and scary, both! Good thing you have wheels ready to go. Stay safe ... as if you had to be told that! Ommmms

I hope Larry is doing OK, Di. I didn't know about your slide damage...dang.

We spent last week doing "annual maintenance" stuff on our Bounder, which included chasing a small leak in the bedroom slide. Hopefully we found it, by slathering sealant on every seam and screw hole.

Yesterday a storm blew through our neighborhood, knocking down several trees and part of our back fence. This morning hub and his brother were digging post holes and broke the natural gas line. Oops!! Fun times.

Thanks for the concern all we have limped to a ford dealer with hopes they can fix it tomorrow. I need all the prayers and ohms we can get. First trip 2000 mi. 280 to go. We can go 20 miles then the transmission over heats. Removed the jeep still 20 miles then stop for a hour. I need the front seal fixed fluid and filter changed and hope that fixes it. I wish I could just do it here but u bet walmart would get mad. I'm praying for you all to have better luck then me. We love and miss y'all.

Jeff I'm with you buddy! So glad I don't have the S/B maintenance to deal with.

Dwayne sorry to hear about your MoHo problems. You guys have definitely had more than your share.

We are gonna be heading out week after next and I'm praying we get a brake from problems too. Still no word from Blue Ox about what they are willing to do if anything so I went ahead and ordered another hitch and baseplate. I just can't help but believe our baseplate had some type of issue for it to let go of the connector and that connector is bent pretty bad. Would show the pics but I keep getting msg that I exceed my quota.

Anyway, safe travels to all our mutant family and we will see you on the rainbow!

4.5 hours later, stripped off some false body panels on each side of the compartment door and sprung the latches on the bus door, took the door off all the lift hardware, took the back off the door, took the door latch apart, got it to work, did everything in reverse.

Bus door fixed. $0 spent!

Yep! There are lots of things I don't miss about the S&B -- lawn care, utility bills, mortgage payments, real estate taxes, worrying about resell value, painting, shoveling snow, enduring months of extreme weather, resealing the driveway ...

I feel for those of you that have to do upkeep on an RV and a S&B.

Hi Jim. Did Ginny make it in on Friday? Looking forward to seeing you guys soon. We begin the journey that way tomorrow. Will make Pueblo Tuesday. Then on to magic mountain. Can't wait to catch up. Been too long.
